3. Carson Palmer
4. Eli Manning
5. Michael Vick (avoid any dog discussion)
6. Mario Williams
7. David Carr

Michael Vick over Eli Manning. I understand exactly why you picked him and in my opinion, it's not the right one. If your not talking Dogs here Vick was on his way to stardom. Eli was making his way out of New York. I'll place a bet anytime that if Michael Vick was with the Falcons this season they would of had a 8-8 season putting them in 2nd in the NFC South.

Alex Smith over David Carr. I don't think you know how bad David Carr is. He did not have 1 succesful year in Houston. Smith was looking pretty promising until this year. Carr didn't look promising at all. He did hournedusly with every reciever he had. Steve Smith, arguable the best WR in the game today did nothing when Carr was around. Andre Johnson just looked bad when Carr threw to him.

But everything else is good. Good Luck.

Eli over Vick. The reason I picked Eli is because Vick was never truly developed as a passer. Vick was already a star. Giant contract and ridiculous amount of endorsements. Vick was alright, but he didn't lead Atlanta to the playoffs since 2004. Once teams figured out how to stop his legs, he showed a big weakness in the passing game. Yeah, he still got rushing yards, but Atlanta didn't make it back to the playoffs.

Eli has always put up respectable stats. He has the postseason success that Vick can't hold a candle to.

David Carr is bad, but he's never been around a good team. Ever. His offensive lines have always been atrocious. He's never had the weapons around him that Alex Smith did his sophomore season at San Fran.

I wouldn't consider what Alex Smith had weapons. David Carr had Andre Johnson and Steve Smith for christ sakes, what more could you ask for?! Sure his OL could of been better, but I wouldn't consider Michael Vicks OL steller. You think Carr didn't have weapons? I mean Vicks #1 was Michael Jenkins. Thats not really good. I mean you need a good reciever to be a good QB. Thats why I give D-Mac a lot of credit because he only had Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis last season.

Eli Manning never put up consistant numbers are you serious? He didn't even do that great this year. His postseason was phenominal. But not his regular season was not so hot. He also has plenty of weapons in Plax and Amani. His OL is good, there solid. Vick has put better numbers up then Eli.

Yes Carr had Smith and Andre Johnson, but always had terrible linemen in front of him. Alex Smith may not have had a great receiver his second year, but he had a much better offensive line and running back in Frank Gore than Carr has ever seen.

Vick may have put up better numbers, barely, but Eli was the definition of clutch this post season. I don't care if it was only a few games. He played exceptional when it counted. Vick cannot say the same. I won't even start on character issues since we agreed not to bring that up in this TD.

You keep changing your story Sully. First, Eli always put up clutch numbers. Then Smith had a ton of weapons, then David Carr had no talent around him. Now your completely changing everything you were debating. Get your stories right.

Mike Vick before he got suspended skyrocketed over Eli in stats. If you don't recall the New York fans were ready to throw him and Tom Couglin onto the streets, now since he had a pretty good postseason everyone thinks he is the new Peyton. I don't think so.

I want to see how E. Manning does this regular season. See his first year under the lime light and not on the spot light. See if he can perfom up to the expectations he is given by people like you. The guy is not consistant at all. Most likely he will crash and burn this year and by next year everyone will want his head again.

Lets not make assumptions just on 4 games.

Vick would definately be below Eli and Mario, even without considering him murdering dogs.

March 29, 2008  05:14 PM ET

Honestly Vick should be last because it will take several years for the falcons to recover from all the scandals and bad publicity

March 29, 2008  05:29 PM ET

Not to mention they traded up to get Vick. Eli is above him and so is Mario. You don't have to discuss the dog situation but it does have to be taken into consideration when evaluating the picks.

Uh, Eli led his team to a Super Bowl victory, Vick ruined his franchise. No contest, vote:

My question is, which of them (Eli or Vick) means more to their respective franchises? When Vick was in Atlanta, they were an okay to pretty good team. Now that he's gone, they're in the gutter of the NFC South. You can't really predict what would happen to the Giants if Eli got injured or had to retire or something, without the Giants getting anything back.

No vote yet, as I'll wait for further arguments. Just something to think about.

These list TD's are always a tough one to argue, and equally tough to vote on.

I don't like where either of you have Carr, seeing as he's now a career backup and on his third team.

Where is Courtney Brown these days now that he's a failed experiment of the Browncos?

Alex Smith might not be that great, but he does have the starting spot, whereas Carr could have kept starting, but lost out to Vinny Testaverde for crying out loud.

I'm leaning left because of the crux of the argument. Vick even at his best was a 1 trick pony. A very good trick, but he only made it as far as the NFC title game.

Eli "won" the SB, or at least did enough to have his team win it all under very difficult circumstances. So I have to say that he's accomplished more than Vick.

I think it's ridiculous to say that the Giants would have still won the Super Bowl without Eli. He was playing amazing football this year during their hot streak. Atlanta is pretty bad without Vick, but I find it hard to believe they'd be much better with him. The guy was a mediocre passer that fans drooled over because he had the knack for some sweet runs.

I DONT SEE ANYWHERE IT SAYING "WHICH OF THEM MEANS MORE TO THERE FRANCHISE" Big M? Thats a dumb question. Who would say Michael Vick means more to the Falcs then Eli does to the Giants.

Whoops forgot to read the rest. Sorry big M.

"You keep changing your story Sully. First, Eli always put up clutch numbers."

No, I never said he always put up clutch numbers. I said he was extremely clutch THIS POSTSEASON. I said he's always put up respectable stats. At no point did I say he's been clutch his entire career. And if you think Vick put up PASSING stats that 'skyrocketed' over Eli, you need to look up some stats.

"Then Smith had a ton of weapons, then David Carr had no talent around him."

Carr has never had talent around him. He had Steve Smith for one year, with a terrible offensive line and no supporting cast, and all of a sudden he's surrounded by Pro Bowlers? **** that. You and I both know that isn't true. Yeah Smith is a stud but defenses can key on him, and when your only weapon is the focal point of a defense, and your supporting cast is bad, you will not put up good numbers. Alex Smith had Frank Gore and a great offensive line his second year in the league, of course he had a good season. Honestly, Carr and Smith are about even in my book, but I gave Carr the nod.

" Now your completely changing everything you were debating. Get your stories right."

I haven't changed my story once. Eli is better than Vick. Carr is better, slightly, than Smith.
