i kinda stole this one from another td but neither picked this one.

This is the best matchup of opening weeknd because of the circumstances surrounding it. for one, everyone knows minnesota and green bay are no starngers toe ach other and they are rivals. but that's just the tip of the iceberg in this one.

There are alot of questions. Can the minnesota vikings continue the success they ahd last year. Will adrian peterson suffer a sophomore slump or will he better his great numbers from last year.

Also, how will the packers be without their longtime leader Brett Favre. will aaron rodgers be as productive as he was against Dallas. or will he succumb to the pressure of the Green Bay Packers fans and fall out due to inexperience? the storylines are as compelling as any and it makes fro a great matchup.

I will pick the Giants vs. Redskins matchup. I really like this matchup b/c they are heated division rivals. Neither team really likes each other. Also, people will want to know if the Giants are just "one-hit wonders" or if they can have success again this season.

Another interesting topic to this game is the playoff race. They are division rivals and the first game of the year will already have implications on this race b/c both teams were there last year and both want to make a run to the playoffs again.

Now it's interesting that u pick the ginats vs. redskins. Obviously everyone wasnt to see if the Giants can repeat just like evry other team that has ever won the superbowl. but i don't think who theyre playing is really that relevant. The only thing really tempting about watching the redskins is to see whether or not their oach and be effective and their QB situation. But the green bay game ahs all of those except for the coaching whic it has a little of.

The Qb situation for the Packers is more important and intriguing than that of the redskins because nobody know s how the untested Rdogers will perform. He has a great young crop of recievers but will he have the same chemistry as Favre did with them. Also, although minnesota did not make the playoffs last year they were significantly better than they were teh two years before. They had the number defense against the run with the purple people eaters up front, and they also had the best rush offense behind rookie of the year winner Adrian Petersona nd talented backup Chester Taylor.

As far as your last paragraph goes it is completely irrelevant in this td. GB and minny=same division too buddy =)

Everyone's overhyping the Packers so much for next season. With Aaron Rodgers stearing the ship, they're iceberg bound...

Hey With the Packers stud of an offensive line and offensive weapons Rodgers should have a decent season

Redskins-didn't waste any money in the offseason (good) but did nothing to even try to improve (bad).

Giants-Super Bowl Champ that is probably going to be picked 2nd in the NFC east still.

Not a good matchup.

Minnesota-Peterson is reason enough to watch, see if he keeps up his explosive play into his sophomore year.

Green Bay-Interesting to watch how they will respond from Favre's retirement, see if defense continues to be good.

GB without Farve i say 8-8

and Lose to dallas at home. and most likly lose to the vikings both times.

Redskins this coming season will suck they lost some defense and have their QB learning another Offensive Scheme. They have an old O line and Dline. 6-10 or 7-9

Giants are a good team (can't believe i said that) but it is asking much to return to the SB and win it. Playoffs likly but winning Division is out of the question. 10-6 again for them

The thing about rodgers he was mentored by favre...... That might not be a good thing. He was a great QB but not one who should be copied

C'mon guys, only four games have been released in the schedule and they are the Primetime games! Wait till the entire schedule is released in a couple of weeks. Usually the Sunday day games are the best of opening weekend!
