No doubt both players are good, but in a situation where I would have to choose one Chase is my choice.
The guy is no doubt the best player on his team and could easily make it into the NBA. Earl Clark on the other hand will have a little trouble. You mentioned in your TD Clark's stats aren't high because there is a lot of good players on the team, thats what its going to be like in the NBA, he might as well get used to it.
Budinger is also very reliable, his .585 FG% says it all. Plus a .845 FT% helps too. He is very NBA ready also. Playing in Arizona is hard to do, and he's done it well. Maintaining his starting role will be more difficult next year with the coming of Brandon Jennings, Emmanuel Negedu, Jeff Withey, and Brandon Lavender, but I think he'll do it because of his pure dominence.
No doubt players like Earl Clark are good, but not quite to the status of Budinger.
Good Luck.

Well, I guess I will accept this. Here is why I believe Earl Clark is the more complete player.
Clark plays 28 minutes a game compared to Budinger's 35. Clark scores 11 points a contest on a team that averages 72 and Budinger averages 17 on a team averaging 72. However, Clark comes off the bench on a far more talented Louisville squad. Also, Clark averages 3 more rebounds per game and more blocks. He is a better defensive player b/c he is so long and can guard any position.
By the way, I'm not sure where you got Budinger's stats from. According to ESPN.com for the 07-08 season he shot .45% from the field and 72% from the line. Clark shot 48% from the field and 66% from the line.
Here is another stat that shows how much better Clark's team is and how many other players can score. 4 players average double digits on Clark's team and all are less than 12ppg. Compared to Arizona where 3 players do the majority of the scoring with 50 of the 72 they score a game. Also, Clark is his team's leading rebounder off the bench. Shows how vital he is to his team's success. That is not to say that Budinger is not vital to his, just that Clark provides that extra lift.

Oh, my bad on that stats. I got it off some Arizona fans wikipedia. Never trust Wiki. Hahaha.
But, key thing about Earl, OFF THE BECNH. He wasn't good enough to star over David Padget, or Terrance Williams. As I said in my above statement, he better start getting used to scoring or no NBA team will want him.
No doubt his rebounds are great, but are they good enough for the NBA level? 8 college RBS are like 4 NBA RBS. It's all better competition, everyone is better. Sometimes you have to take charge and shoot like Chase does. Actually im pretty sure Chase is a better defender. Sure the blocks aren't as good as Clarks. But, you'd expect that. Clark is bigger.
In my opinion Chase is more NBA ready and he is an all around better player

Clark is the second leading scorer on his team with 11, so I don't think that he has that much trouble scoring. I just mean that his team's scoring is more spread out and more people get touches. Budinger doesn't have to deal with that.
Clark is so long that he can stick with the big guys and he is pretty strong with his 6-9 frame. He is also very quick and can stick with a smaller guard player. His athleticism is so superior and that is advertised by his nearly 2 blocks per game.
Both will be successful in the NBA at some point. However, I think that Earl Clark is the more complete player in all aspects of the game. He can score and rebound and defend any position on the floor.

Actually, Clark isn't that fast. I don't know where your getting that from. In my mind hes relativley slow.
Clark is long no doubt, but Budinger is something Clark will never have Reflex. He can determine when a shot is going to be made a judge it. Hes a much better defender than Clark in my opinion. Budinger can play press or zone. He is more coachable than Clark, I back this up by saying: Pittino got him to play down low, he shoots from EVERYWHERE.
Budinger also has a better NBA form than Clark. Sure Clark has the frame to do it, but Chase has the speed and the shot and the defense. Clark is a little slow and his defense lacks.
Budinger is superior!@

Ahhh, out of time in 5 min...Clark can provide the inside or the outside presence for any team. He defends all 5 positions and has a big long body. His shot blocking ability is pretty good and that really helps. How is "Pittino got him to play down low, he shoots from EVERYWHERE" say anything about coachability? Sure, he plays a forward spot, but tons of big guys like to step out. He is long and athletic so he can take the big man off the dribble.
If I had to have one for my team...I choose Clark.
