Make a defense with every player from a different team

DE- Aaron Kampman (packers)
DT- Albert Hayneworth (titans)
DT- Darnell Docket (cardinals)
DE- Jared Allen (Cheifs)
OLB- Demarcus Ware (cowboys)
ILB- Patrick Willis (49ers)
OLB- James Harrison (steelers)
CB- Asante samuel (patriots)
FS- O.J Atogwe (rams)
SS-Bob sanders (colts)
CB- Marcus Trufant (seahawks)

Alright, here's mine:

DE Patrick Kerney(Seahawks) **
DT Albert Haynesworth (Titans)
DT Pat Williams (Vikings) **
DE Jared Allen ( Chiefs)

OLB DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys)
ILB Patrick Willis (49ers)
OLB J Harrison (Steelers)

CB Asante Samuel(Eagles)
FS OJ Atogwe ( Rams)
SS Bob Sanders ( Colts)
CB Antonio Cromartie(Chargers) **

alright the differences-

Pat williams VS. Darnell docket
williams- 62 tackles, 2 sacks, no FF
Docket- 59 tackles, 9 sacks, 1 FF

Williams has 2 more tackles, but 7 less sacks and 1 less FF. Not only where Dockets stas better, pat williams had kevin williams to take double teams off him. So docket did better with less help.

Cromaritie VS. Marcus Trufant
Trufant- 85 tackles, 8 ints, 1 TD
Cromartie- 44 tackles, 10 ints, 1 td

You have 2 more Ints but 41 less tackels , that is almost twice as much. cromrite had jammer on the ther side to take pressure off him. jammer Had good coverage so they would despretly throw bad passes by cromartie so he would get more iNts. Without another CB cromarite wouldnt be as good.

Alright, I have a slightly different statline but none too major.

P. Williams: 16G, 64 Tackles, 2 sacks, 3 PD's
Docket: 16G, 58 Tackles, 9 sacks, 2 FF

Williams has slightly more tackles and creates chaos through pass deflections. Docket has more sacks, and forces fumbles.
You have to consider Pat Williams anchors the best RUN DEFENSE in the NFL. HE, along with Kevin Williams, is the one of the major reasons why the Vikes are allowing the fewest total rush yards in the NFL. They only allow a mere 74 yds a game. Result: Vikings #1 total rank RUN D.
Docket and the cardinals: Not too bad at #9, but can't beat the Vikes.
Pat Williams creates more of a presence as he is a great run stuffer.

Cromartie: 44 Tackles,10 INTS's, 1 TD, 2 def TD, 18 PDs
Trufant: 85 Tackles, 7 INT's, 1 TD, 15 PDs

Trufant definitely had more tackles, BUT you gotta take into consideration that Cromartie missed a few games last season yet has made the most out of chances. QB's are definitely thinking twice before throwing in his direction as he hes become a pickoff artist.

AC had Jammer?
QJ had 61 tot Tackles. Not much more of a help than Jenning's 55 Tackles who's helped Trufant.

Forfeited Turn

Forfeit?
BTW, Cromartie started ONLY 8 games LY, substituted on a few. 44 T's and 10 int's for half a season is impressive.Give him a full season..he'll do better than Trufant.

AK has 2 more tackles(64 to PK's 62), but after that he doesn't do much more.He lacks posting the stats in other def. aspects of the game.
PK contributes more through other facets of the game. A more solid all around DE. Here's proof that he's a better playmaker than AK:

PK: 2.5 more sacks(14.5 to 12)
PK: 1 more INT.
PK: 5 FF's, AK only 1 FF.
PK has 2 PD's, AK has 0.
PK is part of a slightly better rush D.

AK just solely did tackles and sacks, hmm..all if not most DE's can do that.
Kerney is more multi dimensional. No doubt,he did much more.
Not only can he help stuff the run, but in the process creates game changing plays such as forcing fumbles and PD's.

A lot of times, players are defined by how well they perform in the clutch.
Here are stats on KEY 3rd down situations LY.

PK on 3rd Down: 15 T's, 7.5 sacks, 1 Int, 1 FF,1 PD
AK on 3rd Down: 11 T's, 6 sacks

Now,who do you think rises to the occasion when it matters most? I would say Kerney, he's more effective in the clutch.

Lol. How can we not miss Willis. He's right up there as one of the best upcoming LB's.

agreed that was a relatively easy choice. And to Football fan i was thinking of bailey but his numbers where just going down and hes not as good as before but still good.

April 3, 2008  09:21 PM ET

The reason Bailey only got 3 interceptions is because QBS DON'T THROW TO HIS SIDE OF THE FIELD ANYMORE. That is how good the man is at his job.

April 3, 2008  09:36 PM ET

CB - Champ Bailey??

April 3, 2008  09:37 PM ET

April 3, 2008  09:45 PM ET

But Champ is better than that Chargers puss

April 3, 2008  11:11 PM ET

i go with left,,,got kampmann

April 3, 2008  11:52 PM ET

PK is much better than Jared Allen. Allen can not play the run and has off the field issues.

April 3, 2008  11:54 PM ET

Norcal, Allen is far better than Kerney...stop being such a blind homer.

April 4, 2008  12:21 PM ET

He SUCKS against the run!!! He puts himself out position everytime. Kerney can play the run very well. PK better pass rusher, better run stopper, forces fumbles and will even cover the flats. Not even a contest. Plus off the field behavior counts in my book too.

April 4, 2008  04:38 PM ET

No Ravens ? this is a joke, right ?
