The players in the NBA you think would make the best Street Ball Team.

PG- Rafer Alston- A former street baller, he would te. Having the ablity to play like an NBA player and a street baller would make him lethal.

SG/SF- Kobe Bryant- He can do great moves and is sick with fade aways and dunks.

PF/C- Dwight Howard- One of the more athletic big men. That would help him stay with quick street ballers.

Good Luck.

PG-Rafer Alston: Can't argue with this one, as a former street baller.

SG/SF-Andre Iguodala*: Holy **** the guy can fly. He is extremely athletic. He's also a decent shooter, shooting 47% from the field for his career. One of the NBA's best dunkers.

PF/C-Tim Duncan*: Athletic, a good scorer, and a great passer. Dominates inside and has a great midrange jumper. Strong enough to tear the rim down. Okay, a little exaggerating, but still, he's a monster inside.

Kobe Bryant and Andre Igoudala are very good dunkers so they are pretty even there. They are also very good shooters. I think Kobe has a little edge in . He is great with fade aways and long range shots.

Dwight Howard i think is a bit mroe athletic than Tim Duncan, he is one of the more elite dunkers in the NBA for a big man, pulling out some crazy stuff in the Dunk Contest and WINNING!!! He can just te the paint. He is also a pretty good passer.

You say Howard is the better passer? Let's see...

Duncan averages 3 assists per game, which among NBA centers is third in the league. Howard's 1.3 assists ranks 16th, and that's not very good, considering the fact there aren't very many good passing big men.

Duncan is extremely athletic. He is a very good ball handler as well as a great passer, but thats not all. He could shoot 40% from 3 if he wasn't so unselfish. The man is an absolute beast down low, just terrorizes opponents.

Iguodala and Bryant are about EQUAL in dunking? Has Bryant ever been a runner-up in the Slam Dunk Contest? By my accounts, NO.

For his career Bryant has shot 45.4% from the field compared to Iguodala's 47%. So Iggy's got the advantage there.

I am by no means saying Iggy is a better player than Bryant, but going by pure athleticism and some specific stats, Andre Iguodala's got the edge on Koba and would make a better street baller.

No, i never said Dwight Howard was a better passer, he are my exact words:
"He is also a pretty good passer."

PRETTY GOOD!

Dwight Howard can ize defenders too.

Dunk contests don't tell everything about a dunker. Kobe can pull out big dunks in the game and he can also just get it down when you just need a dunk.

And Iggy has the advantage by 2 percent..... no, 1.5...... so what? Kobe seems like he pulls up a lot more big shots from far away late in games that iggy.

"I am by no means saying Iggy is a better player than Bryant, but going by pure athleticism "

Your saying that Kobe Bryant is less athletic than Andre igouadala? I think theya re pretty equal. And street ballin' isn't all about athletisism..

Since everyone seems to be curious on the Tim Duncan pick, I will explain it...

In your first argument, BillieJoe, you say this about Dwight Howard:

"One of the more athletic big men."

By this statement, I assume you are saying athleticism is an important factor in streetball. So I go along with it, and pick and athletic center. I choose Tim Duncan.

"Kobe seems like he pulls up a lot more big shots from far away late in games that iggy."

Really then...so give me an example. I can't think of any off the top of my head, for sure. Game-winning shots from Kobe? I don't know any...

I DO think Iggy has the slight edge in athleticism. Iguodala has a monstrous 6'11'' wingspan at 6'6''. HOLY ****! Both are extremely athletic players, but Iggy is an absolute freak of nature.

Monta Ellis, Ricky Davis and Marcus Camby. That would be my streetball team. The other guys except for Kobe aren't flashy enough.

April 7, 2008  06:58 PM ET

The big three on the celts would be awesome. Wouldn't it be cool to see what happened if the TD teams they made actually played eachother?

April 7, 2008  07:01 PM ET

Tim Duncan? A street baller? Hahahahahahahah.....that's too funny! Keep thinking that!

April 7, 2008  07:08 PM ET

Yeah I wouldn't watch Tim Duncan play streetball. He is probably the big name pro most likely to be embarassed on a hardtop. No way his game could translate to streetball.

Amen. Tim Duncan wouldn't even be any fun to hang out with. He's just a puck **** mother ****.

April 7, 2008  07:14 PM ET

I do like the AI pick, but Tim? Nah.

April 7, 2008  07:14 PM ET

Jason Williams and Vince Carter when they first came into the league would be a great duo.

April 7, 2008  07:22 PM ET

give me Josh Smith somewhere on the team

April 7, 2008  07:23 PM ET

I would take Amare as a street baller, if you had to choose a PF/C. C'mon he is quick, agile, and can tear down the rim in more style than Duncan.

April 7, 2008  07:23 PM ET

At least Amare wouldn't try to hit the bank every shot he takes, haha.

April 7, 2008  07:24 PM ET

I'll take Josh Smith over Camby and roll with Monta and Ricky Davis. Thats an exciting team to watch.

April 7, 2008  07:38 PM ET

Tim Duncan a street balla???HAHAHAHAH!!! He would get his arse kicked all day. Mr. Fundamentals isn't cut out for street ball. How bout this:

G-Rafer Alston
PF-Amare Stoudemire
C-Dwight Howard

Amare is agile enough to play with SF types. They'd just have too ally oop every possession to either Amare or Dwight. anyway, I'm voting left, simply because of the Tim Duncan pick.

April 7, 2008  07:43 PM ET

G - Paul
F - LeBron
C - Amare

Allen Iverson - very fast

Bruce Bowen - plays dirty and not by the rules so he would love a game like this

Rafer Alston- duh
