Tyler wants to win a championship at UNC badly. Hansbrough knows he cannot hurt his draft stock by coming back for another year. Plus, if he came back, he would break alot of major records.

Hansbrough knows he cannot hurt his draft stock by coming back for another year.
I'm sorry man, but that statement is very, VERY incorrect. Hansbrough's draft stock can be absolutely shattered by returning for his senior year. Call it the Joakim Noah syndrome, staying around for one more year and ultimately regretting the move.
If Hansbrough's play slides and North Carolina heads into a funk, Hansbrough's entire college career is thrown into question, and people will question his consistency.
If Hansbrough is to receive an injury, everything is thrown into limbo. Everything he's spent years of his life waiting for and working for can be over in one career-ending injury. The odds of that happening? Not good. But still present.
However, a more likely situation involving a smaller injury also can do nothing but hurt Psycho-T's draft stock.
We'd all love to believe Hansbrough will return next year and lead Carolina to the championship. But, in today's day and age, senior stars are a dying breed. There are no guarantees, and Hansbrough knows that. More to come...

First of all, Noah was projected 1st overall after his sophmore year if he would have came out. There is nowhere for his stock to go but down.
UNC will not slide into a funk as long as he is there. at the very worse UNC ends up like Kansas State was this year with Hansbrough basically being a one man show.
Hansbrough is now projected as a low first round pick. If he improves his jumpshot and passing (lesss than 1 apg), he could go even higher in the draft than that.
Money is obviously not a huge factor to him because if it was he would have left UNC a long time ago. He loves college life at UNC. Why would he be in any hurry to go to the NBA where he will most likely be in average player? He should stay in school and enjoy dominating everyone while it lasts. While he will be a good pro, he wont be anything near what he was in college.
Plus, he badly wants a national title. UNC has a golden oppurtunity if Hansbrough and Ellington come nack for another year. Psycho-T will not pass up a chance at a national title and leave UNC.

Why would Greg Oden or Kevin Durant leave college if money was clearly not an issue for them?
They had legitimate shots at titles yet decided to depart early?
The NBA sounds incredibly attractive to players with pro potential receiving a lot of attention.
The risk of injury and other variables, many find, is too much. Also, the lure of millions upon millions of dollars in contracts and endorsements is enticing to college players who make nothing for their play on the court.
Also, age is a contributing factor. Hansbrough becomes less attractive to NBA teams as a 24 year old than a 23 year old. Why pick up a 24 year old with maybe 10 good years in the league when we could pick up a 20 year old with 15? This is a question many front office NBA officials ask to themselves.
A championship is tempting, but a seven zero salary is too.

Durant and Oden would have skipped if the rules were different. There whole reason for coming to college was because they had to, and it was another step closer to the NBA. Hansbrough doesnt think that way. If he was so enamored with the NBA like you say he is, then why didnt he leave after his freshman year? And what about after his sophmore year? He came back both years because he loves college life and wants to win a National Title. He is adored at UNC.
There are no new risks for Tyler this year if he was to come back. Injuries could happen and his stock could fall, but has that stopped him before? NO. He is well aware of everything that could happen and that does not affect him. Why would that change this year? Especially when UNC is so close to a championship.
If Hansbrouhg wanted paid so bad he would have left after his freshman year like Durant and Oden did. I am not criticizing then for that at all, but the get paid mindset is not Tylers current mindset. HIs current mindset is to win a National Title.

Hansbrough likely returned college to prove something to NBA scouts who were struggling to define a kid after a unique first two years. (Thank you Cowace, I'd been trying to put that into words). Durant and Oden had such stellar frosh campaigns, there was truly no room for improvement.
Another year at college is a high-risk, low-reward idea for Hansbrough. His draft stock will never be higher at age 23 and the AP Player of the Year. Rock 'em, sock 'em players like Ty Hansbrough don't have the NBA life expectancy of pure scorers like Durant and Beasley.
With the exception of a championship, an '08 return could spell disaster for Hansbrough. Injuries have wrecked pro chances before, and it's just not worth the risk. Hansbrough knows this.

I think age makes Hansbrough unnappealing, especially if he stays around NC nest year.

Hansbrough would be foolish to come back. He won't improve his draft stock at all staying another season (teams have a pretty clear scouting report on him) and he could completely trash it if he plays poorly or gets hurt (not to mention the fact that he'd turn 24 his first season in the NBA).
