Mens Tennis(bookend)

This is a direct Challenge by the way- so no whining on our picks

NASCAR= the fastest growing sport on the planet. Their races r watched by hundreds of thousands of fans n any city they arrive n weekly & FOX's ratings are off the charts for their weekly broadcasts.
This is a sport w/o any true villians, just a bunch of great guys who r fairly young for the most part, having a great time outrunning their competitors @ 200mph around a different type of track virtually every week. This is my third favorite sport overall, and I have never been to a race so it grew on me from picking a driver and following him on TV every week.

NHL Hockey is an all or nothing sport. Either u love hockey or u hate it. Its kind of like soccer in a way as the scoring is usually lower than the average fan would like. True fans of this sport know its not about goals, but hits, crisp skating, great goaltending, killing powerplays, etc. Hockey freaking rocks.

Baseball was the 1st ever organized sport I played as a kid & the last sport I played as an adult. When u are a woman its called softball, but no matter. I grew up going to A's & Giants games n the Bay Area & found a rooting love for the rival Dodgers to counter my dads teams. I live in NoCal=Dodger TV fan


Ok first off

Wrong- my cousin played WOMENS BASEBALL- other than the larger gloves they use the EXACT SAME EQUIPMENT as boys

Baseball is boring on TV- I do love it in Person however but on TV there is a TON of standing around and not much happening- plus 99 times out of 100 the singular GAME does NOT matter in the long run- when was the last time ANYTHING came down to the last day? In the past 10 years?

Next- Again I Love Hockey Live- but on TV - it just does NOT translate- The Puck moves to fast it seems for 80% of the cameras and the action is faster than the commentary. I LOVE hockey live- but on TV you miss the hits the in your face action and most of all - the crowd

now onto your list

Pro-Wrestling is NOT a SPORT- I watch wrestling on occasion and am a HUGE fan- but NOT A SPORT- If it was- not even NASCAR touches those numbers

NBA regular Season games DO Matter- ask any team in the west. Ask Indiana.

Mens Tennis- ok Tennis TOTAL as a sport = Punt
Looking at some ladies of Tennis = Goodness


When I got to high school playing baseball was no longer an option as they had an organized softball team for women. Trust me, the velocity of the pitches isnt much slower than the boys as the mound is much closer for the girls. C if you can get a hit off Ms. Finch and you will respect the game no matter what gender is playing.

Baseball is a game designed around taking time between pitches. These guys throw upwards of 100 pitches per start and they are throwing them to professional hitters so they need not rush, lest they get fatigued sooner and got hit more often. 2 not have been exposed to baseball as a youth either thru playing the game or watching it as a boy would spoil u on the grandest part of the game-the game within the game. The pitcher getting in the batters head and vice versa. You cant rush these things and hurry them along. Every at bat is a mini chess match and true fans of the game know and love the game just for this intricate pace. Its not about who wins and loses an individual game, but how one starts & ends the season and the roller coaster he rides throughout.

When was the last time you watched NHL on TV? I have and they follow the puck perfectly.


My Neice can toss a Softball 100 MPH- her teammate threw a Baseball 110 and got a full ride to Houston- and struck out the side on the BOYS team.

I have shown below the details but in the NL pennant races only 7 of the past 24 comes down to the last day- the last day of the NBA season almost tied that THIS YEAR - and seeding are almost ALWAYS broken down the final weekend- and true fewer teams make the playoffs!

ok- then YOU sit down and watch the Royals and Brewers and Marlins for 90 hours during the summer- that would be 25-30 games- about the ONLY people I can see watching ALL 162 games of a team are either

a) Diehard
b) Fans of teams that have a CHANCE to win i.e Sox, Yanks, As
c) People who wish to die
d) People who put foul Balls on E-Bay

Every Basketball team has one player that can do something- take the worst team- the Heat and tell me Wade is boring to watch.



and I am STILL waiting on you to admit that Pro-Wrestling is a sport.

Wow. No votes whatsoever. If I had to vote, I would vote <-- (for hockey and NASCAR), but with men's tennis on the left side, no votes at all. Didn't anyone see the Federer-Nadal final at Wimbledon last year? How could anyone say that wasn't exciting?!

i wont vote yet, and hopefully this wont sound like complaining, but NASCAR is tied with football as my favorite sport, and both hockey and the NBA are boring to watch, as is mens tennis. Baseball can be boring if you watch all 162 games of your favorite team (I did that once, it got boring by game 28, haha), otherwise its not boring. But golf definitely is. As it stands right now, im torn. Will wait till arguments are finished as requested before I vote
