#1 Chicago Fan is back! said 04/16, 09:10 PM
The Cleveland Caviliers will win the East because they have the expirience from last year. LeBron James is one of the best players in the league and can carry them all the way. Daniel Gibson is a good passer and Ben Wallace is a very good defensive player.
The New Orleans Hornets will win the West and the whole NBA playoffs. Chris Paul is the front-runner for MVP and they have a very good combo of three very good players who are Tyson Chandler, David West and Chris Paul. Peja Storicovich came out of no where and surprised the whole league with a good season. Those four players and good chemistry should be a good reason to win that hardware.

It's Stojakovic, and if you were a fan you would know that, but that's not the point.Everybody thinks that the hornets will win just because they're the best team in their division, but it will be the Lakers, because they will have Andrew Bynum back and they will have they're other star players with them. The Celtics will win they're division though, because they have some of the top players in the NBA,and the other teams in their division, and im a huge fan of the Miami Heat, and it pains me to say this, but other than the pistons, magic, and, yes, cavs suck.

I am not a big fan of the Hornets, we don't even need to bring that in to the argument.
The Los Angeles Lakers have bad chemistry. Their team is full of a bunch of ball hogs who care more about their stats. Fortunetly, it has led them to wins but they will not be able to win in the playoffs that way.
Andrew Bynum may have been good in the beginning but it will be fun to see how good he will be after he comes back from injury. A lot of athlete's performances have suffered after injuries.
I bet the Celtics will win their division, like you said. They are 24 games ahead with no games remaining but how good will they do in the playoffs is the real question. I'm not sure if the Celtics have the right coaching and their somewhat old "Big Three" have suffered through injuries this season and they will have to not get injured in the playoffs if they want to win, I don't know if they can do it. They also don't have much depth.
The Hornets are very deep and can pass it to anybody on their team and expect them to score.
The Caviliers have LeBron James and he is fantastic. The Cavs have more depth than the Celtics and that will lead them to the Finals.

I don't think that Los Angeles is that much better off now that they got Pau Gasol than many people think. The whole Lakers team doesn't pass the ball very well. Look at some previous West Champions; Dallas, San Antonio - they all passed the ball very well.
In my opinion, Los Angeles might even have trouble making it out of the second round.
The New Orleans Hornets are good all over, they play strong defense and they expect anybody that they pass to to score. They have that kind of depth, unlike the Lakers.
The Cleveland Caviliers do not suck. They won the Eastern Conference Championship last year and they have the expirience, unlike the Celtics, to do it again. They are coming back with basically the same team with only some more depth.
Their starting lineup is full of guys who can score, pass shoot, whatever.
Daniel Gibson - Can shoot the 3-pointers very well, see result of Rookie-Sophmore cahllenge.
Wally Seizerback - He is a proven scorer and should pop in 15 a game.
LeBron James - The best scorer in the league.
Zydronus Iguilskas - He still has some left in the tank.
Ben Wallace - Still a strong defender.
Cleveland is better than Boston.

How is it that the Cavs make it to the final based on experience (not like the Big 3 in Boston don't have playoff experience, BTW), but the Hornets, who other than Peja, have virtually no playoff experience?
The Hornets backed into the playoffs, losing 4 of 6, and those 2 wins came against Memphis and the Clips. Not exactly the kind of momentum you want to be riding on a road to the finals that includes Dallas, the winner of the defending champs vs. Suns, and likely the winner of LA and Utah.
I have a feeling the stress and strain of the tight Western Conference race over the last couple of months has taken it's toll on the young Hornets.

Stojakovic came out of nowhere? Are you so young that you can't recall how good the Kings were just a few years ago and Peja was their Big Shot man?
