Who's better at hitting in the MLB, Big Poppy or A-Rod

A-rod because Big Poppy stinks at hitting this year and A-Rod is doing realy good. Big Poppy neads to pick up the pace and he needs to try better on his hitting. He is acting like it is spring training where the score doesn't count for the team record.


Yes, Big Papi is in a slump right now. But to say he is treatinghis slump like spring training is ridiculous. He is one of the best hitters in baseball. Its early in the season, and there is plenty of time for him to pick it up.

The big reason I am picking Big Papi is his clutch hitting compared to A-Rods. Ortiz has two rings, Rodriguez has none. A-Rod completely fizzles in the postseason. Both of these teams will be in the playoffs every year most likely so regular season stats do not mean that much. A-Rod is a choker in the playoffs while Ortiz is one of the best clutch hitters in the game. Ortizs clutch ability is the reason to pick him over A-Rod.


I didnt say that he WAS treating it like spring training.I said he was acting cool about it-or at least thats what I meant.And rings dont matter,because one person is not the whole team,and the whole team earns the ring,not the one player himself. The only thing is that is about to happen this year is A-Rod will be getting a ring.

Ortiz is a better clutch hitter than A-Rod without a doubt. true, winning a WS is a team effort, but Ortiz has done more to help his team in the postseason.


It is a good thing that Ortiz isnt letting the slump get to his head, because if it did, the slump is going to go on longer. He has self-confidence in himself which is good and has no reason to be worried about a start of the year slump. A-Rod should be much more worried about his career postseason slump than what Papi should be with his slump. Papi will be fine and he will show us again why he is one of the best clutch hitters in baseball.


no rings dont matter. It is the way the team acts and plays in the postseason is what matters. Just because David Ortiz has two rings doesn't mean he plays better or hits better it means he helped his team get to a sertain point in the season, and the ring is a reminder of a great season and for a congrats on wining the WS. So no rings dont matter and how do u know the slump is not getting to his head. You never know it might just be.


Here are the stats to prove tha Ortiz is better in the postseason than ARod:
Arod postseason: .279avg .373obp .483slg 7hrs in 147 ABs
Papi postseason: .317avg .418obp .587 slg 11hrs in 189 Abs

What else do I have to say to prove that Papi is better at hitting? Arod has the edge in power, thats it. Ortiz hits for a higher average, better obp, draws more walks, and doesnt choke in the postseason. I would take Ortiz because of his abliltiy to be clutch in the postseason compared to Arods.
