Did you see that bullshtt? He knocked Calzaghe down in 1st. Easily won the 1st 8 rounds. He put on a boxing clinic. Calzaghe never had a solid moment in the fight. This is one of the worst boxing robberies in... ever!

This has to be one of the worst decisions in the history of this game. Terrible robbery.

I had Hopkins by 5 points and that was conservative. Every ringside scorecard I've seen so far has Bernard Hopkins winning handily.

Total crap.

I hate to say this but Hopkin's lost. I love Hopkins and he is arguably my favorite fighter. He lost a split decision and i think that was justice enough. At Least one judge voted in his favor. Calzaghe opened up in the middle rounds. I would agree with you if it was speaking from the heart. The reality of it was he was barely edged out. Great fight though.

He was knocked down in the 1st. That's a 10-8. Hopkins won 6 of the next 7 rounds. Calzaghe didn't do a goddamned thing the whole night but get embarrassed and throw low blows. Hop hurt him and humiliated him several times. This wasn't even close.
Find me one ringside scorecard that had Calzaghe winning. Just one!

Calzaghe is the shittiest undefeated long reigning so-called champion in history. He's a bum that got totally dismantled by a 43 year old, under-appreciated boxing technician.

hat's a 10-8. Hopkins won 6 of the next 7 rounds

NO, you're wrong.

from espn.com
Calzaghe landed 33 percent of his 707 punches, while Hopkins connected with 27 percent of his 468 blows. Calzaghe had the edge in power punches with both total and accuracy, and he heavily outjabbed Hopkins.

Joe edged him out. Hopkins started early and had a little bit late but Joe had the middle rounds. Joe turned it on. All i can say is did you hear the crowd for Joe Calzaghe? I hate to say it but it's reality.

Calzaghe's punches were worthless pitty pats. He didn't land a solid punch in the whole fight. He punches like a woman. In fact I've seen women that hit harder.

He just throws these high volume slapping combos that are nothing but weak.

Again, I said find one ringside press row scorecard that had the fight for Calzaghe and you couldn't. Everyone scoring the fight had Hopkins winning. This scoring was absurd.

Hopkins took that bum to school.

Don't get me wrong. B-hop fought pretty decent and floored Calzaghe but Calzaghe won. Calzaghe woke up in the middle rounds. We should be happy that B-hop didn't lose unaminously.

I thought for sure B-hop would win. He showed it in the first couple of rounds. I lost a td already saying Hopkins was going to beat the GREAT JOE FROM WALES. Great fight and it was free on hbo.

It was a difficult fight to score. As I expected a very ugly fight. Calzaghe landed more and started to take over the fight towards the end. Hopkins landed the stronger shots but rarely through more than one punch at a time. To ugly of fight to say either was robbed. Joe has no power behind his shots but he did out point B-Hop. This is all to how judges look at the fight.

Wouldn't call it a great fight. It was a decent fight and a huge event for the sport. With all the amazing fights we have had this year it wouldn't even make my top 10 for the year.

My scorecard had Hopkins by a the knockdown. So many rounds I didn't know who to give it too.

Hopkins lost. If he's any good, then fight Joe C. in Wales for the rematch...

Olympics... Korean guy. That was the robbery of a lifetime.

Ain't no way in Hades Analogy:
B-Hop = Robbed : Yi Ji = Rookie of the Year

Underdog gets my vote.

Did you watch the fight ruby?

April 20, 2008  07:53 PM ET

Ruby, we're cool, but press row doesn't decide who wins the fight--they are the PRESS! They're not as experienced as judges when it comes to scoring a round. If they were, they'd be judges!!
