The Orioles have been dorwning in the past 10 years and their revuilding process has finally seemed to work with the realease of Miguel Tejada for rising star Adam Jones and four other prospects. So far his impact has been shown with a game winning hit and another game winning run scored. Also, he is 6th in the MLB hitting in the .375 range and is the centerpeice of the Orioles lineup at this point in the season. The Orioles, in my opinion are now out of the hole that they have been in for most of this deacde!!!!!!

Adam Jones is still a prospect, all Orioles fans must remember that, he doesn't have enough expirience to lead a very weak team to the playoffs.
The Baltimore Orioles may be doing good right now but they are only about 20 games into the season, we have 140 more games left, that is a long time and I doubt that the Orioles will stay good for that long.
The porspects that the O's got in the trade are still prospects, none of them (except Jones maybe) are going to help much during the season.
Which reminds me, why did the O's trade their two best players in the off-season? They didn't get anybody who can help them now. They lost an Ace starting pitcher and an All-Star Shortstop for the All-Stars of 2013. Last time I checked it was 2008.
The Orioles do not have enough talent this year to have a great year nor does Adam Jones have enough expirience to lead a team.

First of all, Tejada was really bombing the cleanup spot for the team at this time and he wasn't doing anything good for the O's anymore. And they did the best thing that they could, trade him and get some future stars. But Adam Jones may have a lot of the season left to go, but he has shwoed no sings of slowing down.
Plus you look at Nick Markakis and Brian Robets. They are the two best players and they are the stars that still have Baltimore jerseys on their backs, buddy.
And you mentioned pitching my friend...Thier pithcing is doing very good and that is why they best the Yankees in a three game series....They have a winning record and are on top of thier division. I'm not saying they will be a powerhouse team I am just saying that they will have a better seaon than they are used to and what they were put out to do...

I hear what you are saying but none of it makes sense.
We are arguing for different things here, right?
Well, it was bad of you to mention that Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts still do have Baltimore jerseys on their backs and they boht have more expirience and talent than Jones so if anybody leads the Orioles this year, it is going to be one of those two.
Jones has hit under .250 in two shortened seasons and I don't think he has fully matured yet. He may be doing now but wait and watch him slump as the length of the season gets to him.
Anyways, Roberts will hit better than him at average and Roberts will have more steals, Jones may have a chance at more homeruns, but he is not going to far into the 20's.
Roberts will probably lead the Orioles this year.
Or Markakis. Markakis hit .300 with 15 homeruns last year and is young so he can just keep improving.
Jones is going to go be on a roller coaster this year, he may even go back to Triple A Ball, so I doubt that he will lead the Baltimore Orioles to thier best record in ten years.
Jones won't lead the Orioles to 80 wins this year.

Ok this throwdown is about the Orioles and not the skills of Adam Jones but I believe that Adam Jones will be a factor in the Orioles success this year in the AL East. He may not be the main factor but he will be a person who will be a difference maker in order to help the Orioles. But this is about the O's and in my opinion the O's are going to have the best season that they have had in 10 years and remember these people:
Nick Markakis
Adam Jones
Brian Roberts

It is about the Orioles now?
Stick to one topic, don't change the rules when the throwdown is already half way through.
The title was: "Adam Jones will raise the O's to their best season in 10 years"
Call me wacky but I thought that this throwdown was about Adam Jones when I accepted it.
But whatever, I will try to argue a different topic, just don't change the rules this time.
Baltimore never has had a worser offense before. They lost their best offensive player in Miguel Tejada and that is a loss of about 20 homeruns and a .300 average.
The O's pitching is doing good right now but it is a lucky streak. None of the Baltimore pitchers have ever had a good year, not close, if you call Jeremy Guthrie's 3.70 ERA year a good year.
Yeah, the Orioles do have Markakis, Roberts, and Jones but what else do they have? A lot of .260 hitters without much power.
The Orioles have a weak pitching staff and don't have any offense outside of Markakis, Jones, and Roberts and three players can't lead a team to 80 wins.
