The NY Giants will win their division this year, and they will be better than the Cowboys in their division. A lot of a team's performance offense, because if you can score, it takes lots of pressure off of your defense and I believe that the Giants' offense will be very strong this year. They have a great one two punch from running back position with the speedy Ahmad Bradshaw, and then the bus Brandon Jacobs. Last year in the playoffs it helped them very much, their running back tandem. And also, I feel as if Eli Manning needed something great to happen in his career before he could really break out. And the Giants winning the Super Bowl was a very good thing. Also, the Giant defense is very strong and alltogether I believe the Giants will finish first in their division.

The Giants just got hot at the right time last year. The better team throughout the season was the Cowboys. Tony Romo has plenty of receiving options, including TO (duh), Patrick Crayton, and Jason Witten. Although they lost Julius Jones, MBIII is ready to step up after sharing time with Jones for his entire career. The defense still has a bunch of key players including Demarcus Ware, Greg Ellis, and Roy Williams.

The Giants' defense lost a lot over the offseason, especially on the linebacking front. Both Kawika Mitchell and Reggie Torbor are gone, and S Gibril Wilson will be missed badly. Michael Strahan is 36, and he won't be as feared as he once was. The D-line is still great, I admit, but the rest of the defense isn't.

On offense, Eli Manning has a Super Bowl ring, but he still has a lot of doubters. Star TE Jeremy Shockey is angry and doesn't want to play on the Giants. The offensive line has some question marks too. David Tyree had an amazing catch in the SB, but will he be able to transition that into consistent play every single week?

Overall, the 'Boys have a better shot at winning the division than the Giants. They have had a pretty good offseason and should feel like they have something to prove after an early exit from the playoffs last season.

MBIII will not be as good as the running back tandem of Jacobs and Bradshaw. If Jacobs buses it like he should be able to with his size, it will be great with the speedy Bradshaw. Manning is also going to do pretty well, contrary to popular belief. The Giants finished with a good record last year even with Eli's horrid year, and the only thing Eli can do is get better. Even if Shockey goes, young-gun Kevin Boss will have something to prove following Jeremy Shockey. Also while Strahan aging, another young-gun named Justin Tuck out of Notre Dame is really blossoming into a great player. Last year, especially during the playoffs, Tuck dominated. Also, TO is a great receiver and always has been, but you have to believe that Burress is a great weapon and maybe as good or better as Terrell Owens. If Eli has a good year, Burress may be among the league leaders in many of the receiving stats. Also, Amani Toomer is a great deep threat and has always been. And when the Giants are in the redzone fade to Plaxico may be a prime play that will work more than 50% of the time as it did in the Super Bowl.

That's a lot of ifs on offense. Bradshaw and Jacobs have yet to show they can be that consistent throught an entire season. Same with Kevin Boss. The D-line is great, but overall, the defense lost a lot of key players in the off season. The draft won't fill every position.

TO is better than Buress, hands down. The entire receiving corps of the Cowboys is deeper than the Giants'. Again, you're saying "if Eli has a good year." You can't be for sure. The Cowboys have had the more consistent play. They didn't lose anyone important in the offseason, and Romo will only get better. He has his contract now, and he can play without all the pressure of getting a deal.

The Cowboys have all the tools to win the NL East, wheras the Giants have some big question marks up and down the roster. Overall, the 'Boys are the better team.

Forfeited Turn

I wish you could've used that argument...

I'll try to make this short, since you forfeited a turn.

Tony Romo is a better QB than Manning throughout an entire season. Manning stepped it up in the playoffs, but he was only a good QB during the regular season. Romo was outstanding. He has great receivers too in TO, Crayton, and Witten. MBIII has had a few years of experience and is a better bet to step it up than Bradshaw and Jacobs combined, since Barber will be running behind a better O-line.

Besides the D-line, the Giants' defense has a lot of holes. The LB Core lost depth in the offseason by letting Kawika Mitchell and Reggie Torbor go. Gibril Wilson will be tough to replace at S. On the other hand, the Cowboys have all their key players locked up, and have great players at all places in the field. Last year was also coach Wade Phillips' first year coaching Dallas. In his 2nd year, he should coach better since he already has a year to bond with them.

Eli Manning will never sniff another Super Bowl again. One of the All-Time flukes in the history of sports.

Give. Me. A. Break. The Giants had a nice run. They are no where CLOSE to the Cowboys class talent wise. Giants will finish 3rd, at best. Behind Philly, too.

cowboys have their owns problems called the first round of the playoffs...which they lost to the Giants...

April 21, 2008  11:30 AM ET

"They are no where close to the Cowboys class talent wise."

I love reading comments like that. I really hope they continue. All the Giants did was beat them up in the post season on their home field, and dominate the rest of the way. So the more disrespect thrown NY's way, the funnier it gets. Keep up the good work, haters.

ok there is no way the giants win nfc east next year. Dallas flops in the playoffs, but youre talking about regular season... too much competition in the east,

April 21, 2008  12:07 PM ET

Offense? The offense is what's the problem in NY. With NY's defense downgrading this year (no Strahan and with FA) they will be competing for 3rd at best. Everything fell in place perfectly for NYG last year...a truly a great story, but dont look for them to repeat any of that success.

Torber will be EASILY replaced. Kiwanuka is coming back from an injury and while fill Torbers linebacking spot easily

Booty face Jackson- the only fluke I can think of is your pathetic Lions winning 6 of their first 8 games. Nice season, under .500 AGAIN. You wanna talk about a QB, or how about a team that will never sniff A WINNING SEASON: Jon Kitna and the Detroit Lions. Now I'm even happier we were the team that started your downward spiral in 07. I'm sorry but if your a Lions fan you have no right to talk any ****, especially about a team that beat you IN YOUR HOUSE and won the Super Bowl. Enjoy another losing season in 08

Cowboys-Celtics-ChiSox- You sound like another bitter, pissed off Cowboy fan that has not yet recovered from the Giants going to Dallas and winning the one game that truly mattered between the two teams. Lets see Romo and the Cowboys not choke it up in December and January first before saying who has more talent. You can enjoy your NFC East title and your 13-3 season, I'll take 10-6 and Super Bowl Champion anyday.

im undecided. The Cowboys have Pac Man now so who knows what will happen.

April 24, 2008  07:15 PM ET
