If you could choose the loudest most obnoxious booth for the upcoming NFL season, who would you choose?

RULES: Make up a booth of three current or former sports analysts (no Frank Caliendo), which would be so loud and obnoxious that you couldn???t even focus on the game. Here is mine.

Deion Sanders
Michael Irvin
Stephen A Smith


Tony Kornheiser
Bryant Gumbel
Shannon Sharpe

Typing that made me physically ill.


Here's a sample:

Tony: "Football we be to played this eve, as I view fromst above as does God upon his creation so do I upon the adonis of Brady as do I..."

Sharpe: "Blehbe blah lah bleh blall bhah bleh ba bleh..."

Gumbel: "Yes, but I think that the team who RUNS the FASTER will be the FASTEST team"

Tony: "...and to our legions of fans do I say 'right! Once more into the breech dear friends! Such a match have we not..."

Sharpe: "Bleh? Bla be bleh ba bee blah ba blah ble bla (spit) blah!"

Gumbel: "Shannon, tell us who you think the FASTEST player on the football team will be!"

Sharpe: "Blah bla?"

Tony: "...and thereupon we cast down our gaze to the greatest...no...most divine of the youngest...and thus I feel my manhood growing to full engorgement, as I find such men so attractive..."

Gumbel: "I still think that the FASTEST player will show the most SPEED on the field tonight."

Sharpe: "Blah be blah bee blah! Be bla bleh ba?"


First off let me give you some props for choosing a list of all different people...now your list of Tony Kornheiser, Bryant Gumbel, Shannon Sharpe is definitly annoying but I don't think they would be LOUD or OBNOXIOUS, of course in my opinion.

You want some play by play? Try this:

Deion - Now playmaker lets review that play. Look at that WR run that route. If I was still playing I would already have 3 picks on that fool

Irvin - HA HA KHH KHH (yelling) Man, you remember when you interfered with me during that 94 championship game in San Fran..thats why you be getttin all thode picks. You couldnt cover me unless you were cheatin. No one could stop the playmaker.

Screamin A Smith: LOOK . THE WIDEOUT NEEDS TO RUN A BETTER ROUTE. C'MON GUYS THE OFFENSE CAN SERIOUSLY EXPECT TO MOVE DOWNFIELD WITH SUCH HORRIBLE, I MEAN HORRIBLE PLAY EXECUTION. UNFORGIVABLE, JUST UNFORGIVABLE.

Irvin, Deion, Screamin A Smith : Whooo!, Ha Ha, I know that's right, WHAT, WHAT, khh khh!, I shut down the whole field, 3 super bowls, WHAT IS HE THINKING!!!


"Loud" is relative.

Kornheiser is the loudest of them all, because he talks more or less constantly. Stretch that out over 4 hours and you're looking at some hearing damage.

Gumbel isn't as loud, but he seems just as bad because HE CANNOT VARY THE VOLUME OR TONE OF HIS VOICE.

"Loud" doesn't really apply to Sharpe, because you can't tell what the hell he's talking about...or what language he's speaking.


Loud is not relative...Loud is Michael Irvin and Screamin A Smith going at it, in a small inclosed booth, about anything and everything. In every Sportscenter, when an interview is done with Smith, he starts ranting and raving in the loudest possible most obnoxious voice. Even when he is done, the person asking the question always says and I quote "uh....ok." ....because they are so dumbfounded that he puts so much force in his response. Now Michael Irvin, as everyone already knows, talks with such arrogance and hood mentality that it is truly comical. That coupled with Deion who speaks in that annoying quiet tone that speaks to you like a soft spoken gangster...it doesn't get any obnoxious than that!


I really don't think that Smith and Irvin would be as irritating as Korny and Gumbel, just because they're so similar in "style" that they'd cancel each other out.

Your list is indeed obnoxious, but it doesn't spread across the breadth of obnoxiousness like mine does.

662's is definitely the more annoying and obnoxious though I would have switched out A. Smith with Sharpe or Madden. Still, he has the more complete list.

Gumbell...both of them. At least if Emmitt was in the booth he'd get the names and numbers of the players right.

However, no one makes my proverbial tail itch more than the grating voice of Irvin. When he gets on a tangent, he truly shows his colors.
