people love the mannings....i love the mannings. But he wont be the cover man for 2009 Madden....great he one the Super Bowl, but Peyton wasn't the cover guy last year. It was a suprising star rookie Vince Young. And that was exactly what Adrian Peterson was...statswise he didn't have a good season and every Madden Cover was great with the stats


I agree...stats help get the cover. AD had a 'surprise' year, but so did Eli. Manning was on the verge of being run of out town, only to man up and win the Superbowl over a very good Patriots team chasing an undefeated season. He made hero passes to win that game, and stepped up HUGE. If you want to talk about who was the bigger surpise, it was Eli Manning doing his impression of Peyton Manning. And only ONE ROOKIE ever has graced the cover.


yes only one rookie did grace the cover....and it was last year. Now who was better in their rookie season....Vince Young vs. Adrian Peterson??? AP all the way. Also I forgot to mention that he had 296 RUSHING YEARD IN ONE GAME!!!! tHATS INSANE!!!!!! How can you not vote for Adrian Peterson. And exactly like you said....they were both surprises this year.....but in my opinion AP was the bigger one


If I told you Manning would win the Superbowl...Eli would not be the one you thought over. AD had a good year, I agree, and he would be a great second choice for cover. The way the cover in normally picked is who is going to be best recongized by ALL people. AP is a big name if you follow the NFL like we do. Most people right now might know he had a killer game, but not what his name is.

Eli Manning is a household name. He is pedigree...he is sexy as a cover boy.
