I'm going with Matt Ryan, He's been so hyped up by ESPN to the point of Matt Leinert or Reggie Bush. When you have that kind of hype coming out of college it is really hard to live up to it. He is treated like he was a star his whole college career when in fact he was a one year wonder. He wasn't even that good this season 31 TD. 19 INT. that's just way to many for a top 5 quality QB to have. Another NFL prospect named Josh Johnson had 4 int., but he hasn't even gotten drafted. And he's going to a falcons team with a bad O-line and their best receiver is a big mouth who is like 35. That's the recipe for a bust because when your a young franchise QB who is gonna start from day one you need good players around him to make up for his mistakes in his early years, but the Falcons don't really have that. So in my opinion this man is destined to be the next Ryan Leaf.

Derrick Harvey, selected by the Jaguars 8th overall.
He's not Jarvis Moss (who was selected 17th last year), and IMO, the Jags didn't need to go from 26 to 8 to get him.
Hell, they might not even have needed to move up to 8 to get him. No other DE was touched until Miami took Merling at 32.
Ryan won't start from Day 1. No one's expecting anything out of the Falcons, and Mike Smith already said Redman is the man until he believes Matty Ice is ready to go.
Harvey will never live up to being the 8th overall pick considering he wasn't even worth it.

A bust is all about the perspective of the player when he comes into the draft, and Derick Harvey was not rated nearly as high as Matt Ryan or covered as much when he came in because he is not in a very popular position. So if he goes on to be a career backup people will say oh well, but if Matt Ryan doesn't win an MVP or a Super Bowl he will be considered one of the great bust of all-time.
Besides Derick Harvey has a great supporting cast that makes him look a whole lot better while Matt Ryan was unfortunate enough to fall into the worst situation in football with a team that has no young talent, or any great coaches, or any real guaranteed coach or owner who is gonna be there your entire career. The Jags are good so if he wins one super bowl his career will be considered a complete success, while Matt Ryan is in a position where he has no veteran in front of him to take the reins while he learns the offense, he has to start from day one on a team that has a line that does nothing but destroy QB's. The only reason Vick lasted as long as he did behind them was because he could run.
Remember vote to the left.

I agree that it has to be Harvey because all analysts have said that this year's group of QBs is nothing really special like it has been in the past. Ryan shouldn't even have been a top 5 pick but Atlanta decided to go that way. I'll wait to see more arguments though.

Are you talking about Joe Horn? 'Cause he is definitely not the best receiver on that team. Roddy White is alot better than him.

Report Offensive CommentRoddy White had a really good year too, everybody overlooked him. But my vote goes to Harvey. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jacksonville's second round defensive end Quentin Groves ends up being the better pass rusher of the two.

Report Offensive CommentWell, well, well. I knew it was only a matter of time before we began seeing the "Most Likely To Be A Bust" TDs. It is absolutely impossible to predict whether or not a player will be a bust. College career means nothing once you are in the pros. Give it a rest. NO VOTE!

Report Offensive CommentJacksonville would have been better off giving up the #26 pick only for Jason Taylor. They would have kept their 2 third rounders and a fourth rounder...and they would have gotten an eastablished pass rusher who would have had an immediate impact. Granted he's 34...but he still has 3 or 4 productive years left. That's worth the #26 pick.

Combine that with TWO forfeited turns by Bio and how the hell is he winning, here?

Report Offensive Commenti think that derrick harvey will become a good player, but not what the jags excpected when they drafted him at 8. they probably did it so they could get back some of their fans, but harvey will be a bigger bust. i think in 5 years ryan will make the pro bowl.
