Who will lead the NFC East this coming season? (1st argument, state team, argue 2nd and 3rd)

Giants

and by taking this td against me, you cant complain about me not finishing if i dont

like i have said before, i am busy with two jobs and 7 siblings to take care of.

I'll take Dallas

New York will top Dallas.
New York defense is great. As you can tell from the super bowl, we are good at putting the pressure on the qb. With Michael Strahan and Justin Tuck on the field especially, that qb aint going nowhere. or the ball, anyways.
On offense, we tend to get a bit shaky, with Eli's interception rate, Chris Snee's constant penalties, and other such things. but this is being worked on. and Eli had a decent backup qb now, with the addition of Andre Woodson. Beleve me, Woodson is going to be way better than Jared Lorenzen. If the Giants play like they did during the playoffs and super bowl, they will definately take the NFC.

First of all, we are talking about regular season football. Last year, Dallas was 13-3 and New York was 10-6. The Cowboys are pretty much intact from last year's roster and they've added Pacman, who may or may not play.

In the draft, Dallas made up for losing Julius Jones (a very average player) by drafting Felix Jones. Jones is a great change-of-pace back from Barber and will immediately impact their offense. They also drafted Mike Jenkins in the first round, adding another quality corner to their secondary. As a New York fan, you must know that you can't ever have too many corners, seeing as how the Giants survived even though they had injury problems.

In addition to looking at rosters, you have to remember that the Giants will be marked men this season. Every team will be looking to bring down the champs. This will hurt their regular season record, which is all we're talking about here.

good argument
looks like i'll finish this td, too!!

note how most of new york's losses came early in the season, like our 0-2 start. and then look at how well we played afterwards, with the exception of the vikings game. (its a curse, lol) we pulled it together after that.
with my dad being a cowboys fan (augh) i have heard just about everything about felix jones. I agree that he will be at least a decent player, but AI don't think it's going to happen right from the start. despite being good stuff, jones is probably not ready for the transition from college ball to big boy ball.
Of course we will be marked men this season, but it doesn't mean that we are going to go down. look at the cowboys in the past, winning 2 in a row. obviously that means they had a good season. so that means we can do it too.

I agree the Giants will have a good season, I just think the Cowboys will have a better one.

They say RB is the easiest position to transition from college to NFL. Plus, Jones doesn't need to be completely ready for the NFL to contribute. He will be used much like he was at Arkansas. Barber will get most of the carries but they'll bring in Jones (and his 8+ ypc. avg.) when they need a burst. He has the ability to break anything into a long gain.

You also bring up backup quarterbacks. I don't think it matters at all if Woodson (UK grad) is better than Lorenzen (UK grad). Heck, talking about Tim Couch (UK grad) would be of just as much relevance.

The fact is this: if you go position-by-position, the Cowboys have the Giants beat most of the time.
QB- Probably Romo
RB- Barber/Jones
WR- Dal better at the top, Giants are deeper
TE- Toss Up
DLine- Giants
LBs- Dallas, good rushers
Secondary- Dallas w/o a doubt

"(1st argument, state team, argue 2nd and 3rd)"

NEVER waste a first argument with a name and never demand an opponent do so.

"and by taking this td against me, you cant complain about me not finishing if i dont "

Don't start TD's you aren't sure you can finish. It's extremely inconsiderate to your opponent. If you're too busy to TD, then TDs aren't for you.

You hit the jackpot on my two biggest pet peeves with people who start TD's. Congratulations...your prize?

Vote right ------------------>

Shouldn't we have this discussion around, oh, TRAINING CAMP???

Report Offensive Comment

so in other words, you are voting unfairly on the fact that i have two jobs and 7 siblings to take care of? well listen here. though i am not much good at tds, i like to do them, even if i cant finish. and its their choice to td against me

and plus, it'd probably be an easy win.

and why pick on me as to the "1st argument, state team, argue 2nd and 3rd" thing when so many other people do the same damn thing?

I gotta tell you Eli, I think the Cowboys will win the division next year. But it doesn't matter, as the Giants proved last season it only matters how you play in December and January, two months in which Romo and the Cowboys seem to fall off

I'LL AGREE WITH YOUR SECOND STATEMENT, NYGiantsSBXLIICHAMPS
BECAUSE
ROMO= PLAYOFFS +CHOKE!!!

ooops that was supposed to say

ROMO+PLAYOFFS=CHOKE

We're not arguing about playoffs, chief.

when above i said look at the cowboys in the past, winning 2 in a row, i meant super bowl, lol

GOOD TD, TOMMY
wow, i actually finished one!!! lol

"and why pick on me as to the "1st argument, state team, argue 2nd and 3rd" thing when so many other people do the same damn thing?"

I'm not picking on you alone. I bring this up repeatedly. If YOU want to waste your entire first argument by listing just a name, fine, but don't expect your opponent to do the same. TD's are THREE arguments long, not two. When you do the name only first thing, all you are doing is turning it into a poll rather than an actual debate.

On the other point, your personal reasons for not being able to finish TD's are meaningless. I'm simply saying it's rude and inconsiderate of your opponent to start something you can't finish. I, for one, couldn't care less about the "easy win" aspect of it. Some of us put alot of effort into doing a TD and nothing is more annoying than someone who starts it then never finishes.

And my vote was hardly unfair. I usually wait for all arguments before casting a vote but in this case you started out by flat stating you might not even MAKE any other arguments. As soon as you made that statement, there was no reason to believe I'd be seeing anything else from you.

If it makes you feel better, your opponent had the better argument and would have gotten my vote, anyhow.

"The fact is this: if you go position-by-position, the Cowboys have the Giants beat most of the time. "

Position by position it's not even close. Dallas had 13 pro-bowlers last year and added two more in the off-season. How many did the Giants send, again?

Report Offensive Comment

Wait a minute, how many playoff wins did the Cowboys have again?

Report Offensive Comment

You can take your 13 pro bowlers all day long, I'll take the horrible Eli Manning (who I believe won Super Bowl MVP) and the Giants 4 playoff wins, thank you very much

Report Offensive Comment

"Wait a minute, how many playoff wins did the Cowboys have again?"

And that has what to do with who will win the division exactly how, again? The Giants had a good run through the playoffs, nothing more, nothing less. They were not the best team in football, nor are they the best team in the NFC East. Personally I'm picking them third next year behind Dallas and Philly, just ahead of Washington.

Report Offensive Comment

I'm just stating that its not nearly as lopsided position by position as you think it is, I would take Manning over Romo, regardless of how much **** I get for that statement, it is honest to God the truth. Running backs is a tie. Giants have the better receivers, O-line is a tie, D-line I wonder? Linebackers is Cowboys, Secondary I would take the Giants, and special teams and coaching is the Giants as well.

Report Offensive Comment

I'll be honest, I do think the Cowboys will win the division again, but after last season I don't see how a Cowboys fan can too thrilled about that

Report Offensive Comment

"I would take Manning over Romo"

You and a handful of others, that's about it. This is not contest. Romo is the far better QB.

"Running backs is a tie. "

That's absurd. MBIII didn't start a single game last year and blows away any back the Giants can run out there. Felix Jones will add the huge HR threat this year.

"Giants have the better receivers"

Geez...Yeah, TO and Witten just stunk it up last year, didn't they? Even with Terry Glenn out all of last year Dallas STILL had the better receiving corps. Put him back in the mix, assuming he's healthy again, and it's not even close.

"O-line is a tie"

Come on. Now you're just being silly. Or you just have no clue about offensive lines.

"D-line I wonder? "

Can't compare D-lines of a 4-3 vs. a 3-4. Completely different responsibilities.

"Linebackers is Cowboys"

Ditto above.

"Secondary I would take the Giants"

Last year, yes. This year, no. The Cowboys biggest weakness last year became a position of strength and depth in the off season.

"and special teams and coaching is the Giants as well."

Lol. Yeah, gotta just forget about the Punter and Place kicker from the Cowboys who BOTH went to the Pro Bowl...And you Giants fans were BEGGING the team to FIRE that coaching staff two games into the season last year. Now all of a sudden they are the greatest staff out there. Funny how that works.

"I'll be honest, I do think the Cowboys will win the division again, but after last season I don't see how a Cowboys fan can too thrilled about that"

Why? Just because they lost a game they should have won, mostly because of injuries? Losses happen in the NFL no matter how good you are, ask the Patriots who are a FAR FAR superior team to the Giants.

NYG had a great run at the right time and I tip my cap to them for that. They are NOT, however, the best team in the NFC East and are more likely to finish last than first in the toughest division in football.
