Blown out by Atlanta in game 3. Losing to Atlanta right now in game 4.
Atlanta has the worst record of any play-off team in history. 8 games below .500. They belong in the lottery.
But yet here they are, running the floor with Boston and exhausting those overrated bums with dunk after dunk.

If this series goes 6 I'm gonna LMAO. If it goes 7, I'm gonna gloat forever. If Atlanta wins the series I will do both.

This Boston team in not even as good as last years Mavericks, who also had the best record and looked like great champions until they were folded by G State in 6.

Only difference is that G State is a better team than Atlanta.

OK.

You are blowing this out of proprtion.

Not only are the Celtics up 2-1 in the series, they have narrowed it to a 3 point lead going into half time. Every team is going to lose in the playoffs at least once or twice. You cannot jump all over a team for losing ONE game.

I mean this team is full of veteran players, they will be able to turn it around.

I dont even think you can compare this series to the Dallas GState series. GState is a very good team, in my mind that wasnt that big a of an upset since all Western teams are closely matched.

Last years Dallas team doesnt even compare to this Boston team. Boston has the 4th best offensive effiency in the league, and the best defensive efficiency. Boston has won all year, they will find more ways to win in the playoffs.

KG, Ray Ray, and Pierce are all playoff veterans and know what it takes to get it done, where as the Hawks a fairly young and inexperienced. They will falter later in the series if not this game.

I still think you are blowing this out of proportion, the C's have a 2-1 lead and arent even losing that badly this game...

It's not that they are losing. It's HOW they are losing. They are getting outplayed by superior athletes.
And it's WHO they are losing too. Atlanta is a club with talented young players, but a terrible d-league level coach and no clue what they are doing on the floor.
If ever a series should be a sweep, it should be between a team with 66 wins vs. 37 wins.

Dallas had all of the same impressive regular season stats last year that Boston does this year.

But this is PLAY-OFF basketball.

You think KG, Ray and Pierce have all the answer, huh? Then how come the 3 of them have combined for 7 total play-off series wins in an accumulative 38 seasons of play if you add their years all together?

So if Boston is struggling with 37-45 Atlanta, how are they gonna do with better clubs? I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a Boston championship if I were you.
This team is a collection of NBA losers.

"This team is a collection of NBA losers."

Thats funny, because I remember KG being regarded as pretty good...

NBA Most Valuable Player: 2004
NBA Defensive Player of the Year: 2008
NBA All-Star Game MVP: 2003
11-time NBA All-Star: 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
8-time All-NBA:
First Team: 2000, 2003, 2004
Second Team: 2001, 2002, 2005
Third Team: 1999, 2007
8-time All-Defensive:
First Team: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005
Second Team: 2006, 2007
NBA All-Rookie Second Team: 1996

Boston isnt struggling with Atlanta. They lost ONE FREAKING GAME. Pull your underwear ourt of your butt and you will see that every team loses ONE game in the playoffs.

It is nearly impossible to sweep every series. And I kind of remember the Celtics holding the Hawks to under 90 the first 2 games. You werent talking back then...now where you?

If people are going to freak out about ONE loss, then I may as well say the Brewers have no shot at the playoffs now that they lost 10 GAMES! Because there arent 152 more...

It is the same with NBA, they have 4 more games to dominate the Hawks...

KG is so great, huh?
One little stat you omitted.
In 13 NBA seasons he has won exactly 2 play-off series. 2!
And one of those series wins was against another 8th seed with a losing record.
It seems that KG teams only do well against 8th seeded play-off clubs with losing records... but not so fast.... I see Atlanta has taken the lead yet again.
He was also the go-to player on the only pro Olympic team to not win gold.
Doesn't sound like much of a winner to me.

The Celtics are SUPPOSED to hold the wingless Hawks to under 90. The Hawks would get swept by Denver in a series and Denver sucks.

The writing is on the wall. This Celtics team is nowhere near championship caliber if they must struggle to beat the Hawks.

Boston will not make it past the 2nd round. They have too many weaknesses.

"The Celtics are SUPPOSED to hold the wingless Hawks to under 90. The Hawks would get swept by Denver in a series and Denver sucks."

Again, you are saying the most RIDICULOUS things! The nuggets won 50 games this season! They did this in the hardest conference, playing one of toughest schedules!

I really dont see Boston as having many weakness's. They were the best defensive team in the league, they were the 4th best offensive team in the league, they have the second most assists, they have a top 10 rebounding team. They shoot 48.8% effective field goal percentage, and have 3 superstars.

Now they actually have a bench too. Sam cassel has been through MANY playoffs and seen it all. The Big Baby is a great energy guy when on the floor, and Eddie House is a vet who can get it done.

So what they lost 2 games? They still have 3 games, quit flipping your **** and watch the rest of the games. To be honest I dont care if they win or lose. But I want people to stop freaking out about 2 losses...there are a lot more games to be played and every team is going to drop one or two at some point.

April 28, 2008  09:39 PM ET

April 28, 2008  09:40 PM ET

By the way, they are only down 3 with the best Big 3 in the NBA.. its over. They already won

April 28, 2008  09:40 PM ET

I'll be happy to. I like the Pistons and Cavs.

April 28, 2008  09:43 PM ET

Hopefully if the Pistons play the Celtics the Pistons will beat them big time.

April 28, 2008  09:43 PM ET

I like the Cavs but good lord, Ruby is freakin out about one loss...

April 28, 2008  09:48 PM ET

LOL amen! 1 loss doesn'y mean a thing.

April 28, 2008  09:49 PM ET

its not like Atlanta will come back and win. After all the Celtics are extremely good this year.

April 28, 2008  09:51 PM ET

What else is new Ruby is being the most controversial person on this site.

Plus she or he is acting like a total idiot.

I am just not sure if it is an act

April 28, 2008  09:57 PM ET

she has done this for all of her 216 TDs, so no its not an act...thats just ruby

April 28, 2008  10:00 PM ET

Again, what are you gonna say when my predictions come true as they always do? What did you say when I told you New England would lose? You shut-up pretty quickly then, didn't you?
The idiot is you. You don't learn that i know more about sports than you and it blows up in your face time and time again.

Oh, btw, Detroit sucks too and they will lose to Philly. And if they don't they will get annihilated by Orlando.

April 28, 2008  10:02 PM ET

I think the Celts are overrated but I disagree with the KG comment, the only reason he could never advance was because McHale traded away Ray Allen for Marbury and traded Roy for Foye, not to mention paying FA's a lot of undeserved cash. KG was the reason the Wolves looked decent all those years.

April 28, 2008  10:13 PM ET

Yeah, but it doesn't matter. he's overrated and can't win in the play-offs.
This Celts team will NOT get past Cleveland.

April 28, 2008  10:15 PM ET

Cleveland? yea i don't think so...the bus is a little heavier for Lebron to have to carry again this year.

April 28, 2008  10:28 PM ET

Personally, I kind of agree with you on the Celtics. You may be a bit harsh, but I see your point. However. KG is definitely one of the best in the NBA. People can say what they want, but the guy puts up stats year in and year out, and what happened the two years he got some guys around him? West Finals, and the best record in the East.

April 28, 2008  10:56 PM ET

Hawks 97-92 Celtics

Tied Series W00T

April 28, 2008  10:56 PM ET

Wow, Atlanta just won. Boston will win the series in the end, but this is definitely good for the Hawks.

April 28, 2008  11:03 PM ET

Cleveland has actually played the Celts very well this year. The only real blow out loss was when LeBron was out. Watch out for Cleveland again.
