Under, they won 32 games this season, Brown's last chance at rebuilding ended with the Knicks finishing with 23 wins and it seems like none of micheal jordan's moves ever work, added to that they are in one of the tougher divisions in the East that sent 3 teams to playoffs this year, with the weakest one looking to upset the top seed. And a Heat team that will not be giving tanking next year. They have no one that can play d. and won't be playing a run and gun o. under larry brown. The only way to make up for no d. is to outscore your oppostion.

Over
40 games is not that far off. 32 wins this season and the addition of a defense minded coach. This team although not playoff bound can win 40 games. You have 4 key pieces in Richardson, Okafor, Wallace and Felton and a real offensive threat off the bench in Adam Morrison. Those 5 guys have plenty of scoring and showed in the second part of the season they have bonded and have chemistry. This is the most important thing to have when it comes to winning ball games: chemistry

One Adam Morrison didn't even play this year! So how did he show he bonded with the others? Even with him back it will take him time to get back into the game, as well...he wasn't that great his shot selection was terrible. Also, in order to win, you need a deep bench, which is something the Bobcats do not have. Larry Brown tends to get all huffy when his teams aren't doing what he wants, he couldn't even the lead U.S.A basketball to a gold medal. These players will still be fairly young next season, still learning much needed skills, for example Okafor needs to learn how to shoot from the line. I am saying 35 wins, or they make the playoffs like the hawks did this year 38 wins.

Morrison will fall into his role on this team and that is what he is, a role player. He will provide punch off the bench and address the issue you speak of which is a lack of depth. Also the youngness of this team is what makes Larry Brown a good selection for coach of this team. Its not only that they are young but also that they are coachable. You have a group of classy guys like Okafor and Richardson.Larry Brown has a way of taking journey men and making them better. He got alot out of Eric Snow in Philly for instance.
The USA basketball debacle was not all Larry Brown's fault by the way. The problem there was the type of players that were brought into play. Larry Brown can't turn Stephon Marbury into a pass first point guard. He tried.

Morrison is one player....a bench needs more then one player and you didn't address my biggest quam, and that was he takes far too many shots and doesn't make enough, he hurts this team. Stephen Marbury was only one player on that Knicks team, but Larry couldn't do enough with the other players in the organization who were younger, like Nate Robinson or David Lee and blaming all the problems on Marbury is just playing the blame game (not saying that Marbury wasn't a distraction for Brown, however..other coaches have ignored or settled conflicts with their players in a much better fashion then Larry does). The knicks were the last team to look to him as a saviour, with this same exact kind of hype. This move is a last ditch effort from Jordan to prove he is more than just a good player. The bobcats will win more games, but I believe the peak will be 35-39 wins.

Morrison will not have to take as many shots as he did before. The 4 key guys I described will need to take the majority of the touches for this team to be effective. Morrison will be valued more off the bench where his jumpshooting will open the floor and allow Wallace and Jrich to cut to the basket. He'll be asked more to pass and shoot open jumpers than to throw up desperations with the shot clock winding down.
Larry Brown will benefit greatly from not having Stephon Marbury on this Bobcats team. Any type of failure in NY has to be excused due to the fact that the Knicks have such bad management. Isiah got along with Marbury very will until this season. The failure of that team this season is a testament to what a cancer Stephon can be. Larry Brown will get the Bobcats to 40 wins next season as his track record has shown his ability to build teams. This is exactly where the Bobcats are at. They are a young franchise looking to build on the late season success. To say choosing Larry Brown is a last ditch effort for Mike is not saying much at all. You'd probably berate Mike for doing nothing at all if he keep Vincent at the helm.

Orlando, Washington and Atlanta are all better than Charlotte

The Bobcats have little wiggle room around the cap after getting J Rich

Definitely over. Larry Brown is one of the greatest coaches ever. He loves to jump ship, but still. The man knows basketball. And the Bobcats have a hell of a better roster than the Knicks.

37-39 wins

41-41 in Brown's 2nd year

If he makes it that long

Rox cap has nothing to do with it. He states the team has to stay the same. Question for you are voting based on YOUR own opinion or on the arguments?

there is no such thing as a tough division in the east
theyll be over

Ummm, I'll say that Orlando is as good as any Western team, and the Wizards are a decent team. But the fact is there is greater chance that the division wins will be spread out, in the East you don't get to face the Griz, the Sonics, or the T-Wolves and clippers and get easy wins.
