SHOOTOUT- Pick any 3 players from any NHL team to do shootouts


dont have to be in order

1. Alexander Ovechkin

2. Evgeni Malkin

3. Alex Kovalev

Crosby vs. Kovalev

Crosby was struggling in shootouts this year while Kovalev was scoring about half of his attemps. Kovalev has better stick handling and deaks. Crosby does tend to lose control of the puck and therefor he will not score. The only thing that Crosby has on Kovalev is speed but sometimes speed is not a good thing in shootouts.


Crosby and Kovalev have both been struggling at these. Crosby has the speed it takes to beat goalies while Kovalev has the tricks, I would say they are even until Crosby's speed comes into effect.


I would rather have tricks than speed.With speed you might go to fast and lose control of the puck and I know your going to say well with tricks you might also lose control yes but with tricks you still have more time to do it unlike Crosby who is a fast skater and does not have that much time to do a trick.


Actually Crosby has both tricks and speed. He has the speed to get to the goal very fast and the tricks at the goal to beat the goalie for a goal. That is why I took him.
