Can't choose the same people.

MVP: Chase Utley
CY Young: Brandon Webb
Rookie: Kosuke Fukudome

2nd and 3rd debate


MVP: David Wright
CY Young: Brandon Webb
Rookie: Mike Pelfrey


I love david Wright but his nubers aren't holding up to utley. Wright has 7 less homers at 4 compared to utley's 11. Utley's batting average is 357 compared to wright's depressing 281. Wright's on base percentage and slugging percentage are 417 .531 to utleys .424 .748. Utley is seven points higher in obp and OVER 200 points BETTER in SLUGGING.

It took me a while to find Pelfrey. It is hard to debate with pitchers. Pelfrey has had one good game and his hitting has bailed him out. He has pitched one good game and that was against the struggling Nats. Fukedome has hit a homer and is batting over 350. What is better a 353 batting average or a 443 era? He has also stole 3 bases and his ob percentage is 455 that is better than utley.

Why did you pick webb???


Well I beleive that David Wright will break his slump and comeback to meet Utley's numbers. Remember it is only the beginning so there is still a lot of time left and anything could happen. Utley's numbers are impressive however Wright will get back into the game and will get his numbers up.

Pelfery I can see inside him is a good pitcher and he may have pitched against a stuggling Nats but, he has managed only to give up 10 walks, has a 2-1 record, and 4.43 ERA. Pelfery still has time to prove himself and I believe he will be able to beat the odds.

As for Webb, I had to agree. Webb has had a great seasonn so far and he has a great shot at getting the Cy Young.


It doesn't matter if David Wright breaks his slump. He didn't have a good april. I know that there is a lot of time left, but this just about april. 10 walks in 3 starts how does that prove anything. Fukedome played everyday and batted 353. There is no more Time APRIL IS OVER!

You don't get it.

Dan Haren isnt even the best performer on his own team. Webb has two more wins than anyone else in the NL. I got Fukdome at .353 but cant find Pelfrey anywhere. Wright is not MVP for April with less than 8 HRS and not even in the top 10 in hitting.
