Patriots will be a cheat on Madden this year.

The were ranked overrall 97 last year on '08. With Moss breaking Rice's record and Brady edging out Peyton in td's for one season, I don't see too many people passing on the Pats while playing a competitive game of madden. I for one do not like them but Wes welker leading in receptions, Moss td record, and Brady td record all last year, the defenses won't know what to do. Patriots defense is a little suspect because of old vets but the offense will be a POWERHOUSE. Might be as bad as Vick a couple years back when you qb sneak the he*l out of people. ha

I don't really understand the point of this TD.

But the Patriots won't be a 'cheat' on Madden this year, that's for sure.

Ellis Hobbs was rated an 84 last year. Jason Webster was a 78. Currently, they're slated to be the Pats' starting corners. James Sanders, the free safety was a 70. Any decent Madden player should be able to pass all day against that secondary, especially if they're using the Colts or Cowboys. Tedy Bruschi, and Adalius Thomas will see a decline in their ratings. Jerod Mayo, a rookie is replacing Roosevelt Colvin.

Sure, the offense is going to be a lot better, but that's counteracted by the fact the defense will be a lot worse. The linebacker corps will be simply mediocre, and the secondary will be downright awful.

Even if you feel that playing against the Patriots is unfair, you can use either of the pro bowl teams, or any of the historic teams. The point is, the Patriots will be the best 'regular' team in Madden this year, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to beat them.

All you have to be is a decent player and you'll win with the Patriots. The Patriots will be the best team. When you have Brady ranked unbelievably high and Moss, as well as some love for Wes Walker, your in some trouble. I don't even think New York will be good against the pat's. This years Patriots on Madden might be the best ever. When you have an offense that is going to be as high ranked as the come defense can be a little shaky but a turnover or too and it's a wrap. I mean people will be able to beat them but they stand alone in this years ranks. Your best bet is the Giants, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, or Green Bay's D rattling Brady.

"All you have to be is a decent player and you'll win with the Patriots."

Not necessarily.

I would argue that the Colts offense should almost as highly rated in Madden.

Peyton Manning is bound to be a 99. Collectively, Harrison and Wayne should be able to match Moss and Welker. Joseph Addai will be better than Maroney. Center Jeff Saturday was rated 96 last year. Tackle Ryan Diem was 89. I wouldn't call the offensive line as good as New England's, but it's still should be well above average.

In addition, the Colts will feature some very highly rated defensive players. Bob Sanders ought to be a 99, Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis should be rated highly.

Alright, so the Colts probably still would be worse than the Patriots in Madden. But they're not bad to the point where a Madden Colts v. Patriots game would dramatically favor the Patriots.

Wow, what can i say but the deep ball to Moss will be automatic and that's how i get down. I will bomb on you chumps. hahahahahhahalolololo

Defending Moss isn't impossible. Ever heard of doubling a player?

As an avid fan of both Madden, and the Patriots, I can assure that I lost my fair share of games with the Pats in last year's Madden, in which the Patriots were the best team. They've slightly improved this year, but I bet that I'll still lose plenty of games when I do play as them.

The Pats have a good pass rush, though, which makes it harder to pass against. That was just mean, though, when yo could just sneak with Vick, because there is no defensive set up that can stop it.

I can beat the Patriots with the Titans calling play-action plays and instead of passing it, running Vince Young to either side. ALL. DAY. LONG.

Madden needs to fix the problem they have with running quarterbacks by having them get worse every time they get hit, like in real like. That way, after about the 20th draw, they leave the game injure, like what would happen in real life.

What?

The best way to run the score up on Madden is to find your opponent's weakest corner and use Moss or any other speedy receiver and loft it to him all game long. It is fun but your friends may hate you and refuse to play with you later.

i don't doubt they will be the best team but they won't be a ""cheat""

like Vick my dear. Using Vick outside the pocket is unfair just like Brady connecting deep to Moss. Watch and see.

Scrambling QB's in Madden are unstoppable. Vick in Madden 04-05, McNabb in 06 (with T.O.) and Vince Young last year were all impossible to defend.

All you have to do is play against the Giants and the Patriots offense sputters in Madden too.

vote to the guy who didn't make this ridiculously stupid TD in the first place.

Vote to the right....better arguments.

Agree with Goodell - I trampled the Pats with the Raiders on Madden 08..... it all depends on the player, not the team. Vote right.
