Make a NHL Line. With players aged 21 and Under, C/LW/RW/G (players then arguments / No Defenseman)

RW- Patrick Kane(Chi)
C-Sidney Crosby(Pit)
LW-Milan Lucic(Bos)
G-Carey Price (Mtl)

Switch Lucic with Malkin...
(Malkin doesn't turn 22 until July 31st) and qualifies as a winger)

Actually qualified as a LW in my Yahoo Fantasy Hockey Pool this year.

He Only qualifies as a winger because The Pittsburgh Penguins Orginisation, Not The League

All of these links including Malkin's Own Fan Site, Nhl.com,Yahoo Sports defin Malkin as a CENTER .

Well my friend you should have stated that. He has played Left wing and qualifies as a Left Winger.
He plays the Power Play on Crosby's Left Wing...

So lets compare...
Evgeni Malkin - Pittsburgh
2006-07 NHL Rookie of the Year
2006-07 - 33 goals 52 assists 85 Points
2007-08 - 47 goals 59 assists 106 Points in 82 games (finished 2nd in NHL scoring)...Finalist for NHL MVP (Hart Trophy)

Milan Lucic - Boston
2007-08 - 8 goals 19 assists 27 points in 77 games

No comparison!

good luck baun

Malkin is a center,

Report Offensive Comment

malkin is a winger and center...he plays both....when with crosby he plays the wing....on the steel-city line he's the center

Report Offensive Comment

Its Still Not His official position. He is a Center,

Report Offensive Comment

but he plays both....trust me...i've watched every game this year....his first position is center....but he plays winger as well

Report Offensive Comment

it doensnt matter if he playes. it, montreal put a defenseman on LW but he is still a defenseman

Report Offensive Comment

you didn't put it in the rules...and it's not even my TD....i'm just saying i view him as both a winger and a center

Report Offensive Comment

this is almost like that Pujols TD I did, but this is more legit...voting right

Report Offensive Comment

Bluehacket- I changed my mind. I view Malkin as a center but having said that...A-wall didn't leave much else to choose from and he also eliminated defensemen. Apart from Lucic who else is there really in that position?

Report Offensive Comment

Malkin plays Center, but if he plays Left Wing for the Penguins, then he should be notified as a Left Winger OR a Center. As long as he is liable/can play the position, and he has played that position for a GREAT deal of time, then you could consider him a LW.

Report Offensive Comment

Malkin is a center. He plays left wing during power plays. That doesn't make him a center. He has not played it for a great deal of time.

But I agree with Baun. Its another TD that's nearly impossible to argue. Its like arguing "list the best center 21 and under, and I take Crosby. Now you pick".

Report Offensive Comment

take my word for it as one of the biggest (if not the biggest) Pens fan on the site....Malkin does not only play left wing on power plays.......he also plays wing when Therrien tries to load up lines by putting Malkin with Hossa and Crosby. Also, Malkin started the season as wing and only moved to Center when Crosby went down.

Report Offensive Comment

Why no D?

Report Offensive Comment

Umm hmm, yet when Crosby came back, he was still at center. Interesting.

Report Offensive Comment

Malkin qualifies for both...and Duqu can we get in the octagon over your claim to be the biggest pens fan on the site...

THE FLYERS are gonna get messed up

GO PENS!!!!!!!!!

Report Offensive Comment

right they realized he played better at the center....but he played winger at least in 20 games this year, so that qualifies him for winger....no interesting...fact
