Arenas will get let go or traded by the wizards because
1. Injuries
2. the wizards played better w/o him
3. He is costing them money to sit on the bench

Agent Zero can opt out of his contract this summer, which a lot of people think he just might do. On the other hand, he will not be traded or let go by the Wizards. Here are some reasons:
In the NBA, all contracts are guaranteed. That means that he will not be released by them. They could bye out his contract, but that just wouldn't make any sense. And they will not trade him either. Who would trade for a guy that can immediately opt out of his contract? An idiot. And in case you haven't noticed, Isaih Thomas isn't calling the shots for the Knicks anymore.
He was injured most of this past season. So what? Most people get injured. Not everybody is Cal Ripken Jr. It was great that he came back at all when he had knee surgery at the start of the year.
They played better without him in the playoffs because he wasn't completely healthy. Sometimes a superstar, and he is a top ten player when healthy, hurts his team when he isn't playing at full strength.
He sat on the bench most of one season. Once again, most people suffer injuries. You can't say he is wasting their money because he sat on the bench for 66 games over one season.

It's two straight seasons he has been injured, now they may not trade him they may pay him, but he should be off the team somehow next season
Nobody would want a player that plays hurt every season
People will teade him trust me even though he can opt out
He will sign a contract with someone they trade him to
The Wizards won't send him where he doesn't want to go

He didn't have any injury problems last season.. In fact, I had him on my fantasy team and he put up the best fantasy numbers all season.
He is a very good player, so it wouldn't be that stupid of them to pay him. They won't give him the max contract that he thinks he is worth, but he has already stated that he is willing to take less money to keep Washington's big three together. In fact, the only real condition for him to stay with them is that re-sign Jamison.
You say that nobody wants a player that is hurt every season? Well he isn't hurt every season. Plus, you go on to state that they could trade him to someone. That wouldn't make sense to anyone. You would have to give up a decent amount to get Arenas. Then you would have to pay him a lot of money. They could just pay him when he opts out instead, and not have to give up valuable picks and players for him, to go along with the money. That would just be retarded.
If he did want to go somewhere else(which he doesn't, as I have already stated), he would just opt out and sign the contract with whatever team he wants. No team in the league is dumb enough to trade for a guy that they can get on the free agent market.
