I pick The Cubs
They have an explosive line up with Lee tearing the cover off the ball, Fukodome has just been a machine so far and with Geovani Soto hitting great, Ramirez is hitting well, and Theriot is running the base paths well and has stolen 8 bags. And when Soriano breaks out of his slump they will be scary.
They have a great rotation with Zambrano being the horse has an ERA under 2 and has 5 wins. But they also have Ryan Dempster at 4-1 and when Lilly breaks out of his funk and Hill gets it together they will have a great starting 3 with Marquis and Lieber make a solid 4 and 5.

I will go with the Cardinals. Currently the Cards lead division and are only two years removed from a world series victory. I think we all forget how good this team really is. Albert Pujols is batting 341 with 24 rbi and 6 hr. He is well on his way back to the best player in the NL. Rick Ankiel who came out of nowhere last year also has 6 homeruns. This team definetly doesn't lack the offense
As for the pitching, it can only get better. Adam Wainwright is pitching great to start the season. Kyle Loshe, Brandon Looper, and Joel Pinero makes this one of the deepest veteran rotations in the NL. Don't forget they have an amazing closer in Jason Isringhausen

Cubs. I'm not scared of the Cards. We have guys on O who can really rake up the hits. Fukudome has been a godsend, Soto is putting up incredible numbers, the defense is great, and our pitchers can contribute offensively as well. Lilly contributed to the cause today with an RBI single. And speaking of Lilly, he was an absolute beast today. He allowed only 1 run on 3 hits, struck out 10, and of course helped out with that RBI. The Cards shouldn't pose a problem.

Cubs have talent and are more healthier than Cards. Cards main guy is playing hurt and they have serious health issues in longterm pitching.. gotta gp with Cubs this year.
