Definitely has to be the Los Angeles Lakers.

The most wins, the highest winning percentage, and the most wins out of any franchise.

28 division titles, 28 conference championships, 15 championships.

George Mikan. Elgin Baylor. Jerry West. Wilt Chamberlain. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Magic Johnson. James Worthy. Kobe Bryant. Shaquille O'Neal.

No team can boast such a lineage of great players.

Plus, what other successful teams have the balls to wear Purple?

they celtics have won more championships(16) and they won 11 championships in 13 years including 8 in a row also they have players like bill russell, larry bird, kevin mchale, bob cousy, john havlicek, pete maravich, robert parrish, bill walton and dominique wilkinsALSO I SAID STATE FIRST THEN ARUGUE 2ND AND 3RD BUT THAT IS ALL RIGHT

Maravich was overrated in the pros quite a lot. He wasn't what his legendary college career built his reputation to.

'Nique did everything he was notable for in Atlanta. Nice thought.

Walton hardly played in Boston. His MVP came as a Blazer. Every player I listed played a large portion of their career in the Lakers franchise and accomplished many things individually and team-wise while wearing purple and gold, unlike the two I've criticized who didn't.

If you want to include these players, then I'll include Karl Malone, Gary Payton, and the immoral Dennis Rodman.

Wow, they won 11 championships in 13 years. Where have they been since then? The Lakers have been consistently successful since they were founded. The Lakers have won championships since the NBA's precursor leagues were founded in the late 1940's in every decade except for the 1960's.

Did you miss the part about having only one championship less (for now?) and more wins and a better winning percentage? The Lakers have been the best franchise in the NBA.

THEN, THEY'RE ONLY ONE CHAMPIONSHIP BEHIND, AND HAVE BEEN MORE CONSISTENT.

Tough to argue against the Celtics. Then again, the topic for this TD is very narrow in the sense that it almost guarantees a victory...
