2 NFL Teams into 1, Same Division, FF Positions

Just pick a division. 2 Teams from the division, and make it into one. Use FF Positions:

QB
RB
WR
WR
TE
RB/WR/TE
K
DEF/ST

choose teams first, then argue 2nd and 3rd

Dallas / NYG


I don't understand why you didn't put your team up their first even though you picked your two team. As much as I hate to say it you will probably lose some votes because of the people who don't vote for arguments... hopefully it that won't happen here.

oh well i just wanted both of us to put JUST the teams we were using first, then the players and arguments in the next ones... maybe i didnt word it well. it prob woulda worked better your way... anyways:

I wont argue Peyton is better than Romo, so you got that one.

I think MBIII runs with much more effort and fierceness and pounds defenses more than Addai. I like addai, but Barber had almost as many yards as a back up, and averaged much better YPC

TO and Plaxico are a little older but both still very dominant and top receivers in the game, Wayne is great and up and coming, but Harrison is getting sluggish, injury proned lately, AND in trouble with the law

Witten did more for his team i think and a better TE. Even with peyton throwing to him, his numbers are nothing to Witten's

Brandon Jacobs and Jones Drew. I have two bruisers, you have 2 quick guys, its be fun to watch!

K, vinateri is a great kicker, but hes UP there in age, and Folk is just beginning. Right now theyd be a good matchup.

THAT NYG DFENSE, ask Tom Brady how good they are!

Sorry I misunderstood that...

Barber is a very good back, I love watching him play but Addai has proved that he can last a full season while Barber has only proved that he can be a back in a committee approach. It is unknown whether or not he can carry the load by himself, Addai can. Barber had a better YPC but Addai had more yards and TD's.

TO and Plax vs. Harrison and Wayne- I wouldn't say that Harrison is getting sluggish, he had one year with an injury. He should bounce back and still put up pretty good numbers. The problem with the shooting isn't that big of a deal, the police have said he isn't a suspect. Wayne is a great Wide out and is one of the best in the league, he has the best hands and doesn't drop anything. I'll take them over TO and Plax who have very suspect catching ability.

I think you got me on Witten, he is awesome.

Jacobs is a huge injury risk but is very good when healthy, except he can't stay healthy. Jones Drew is a beast who can do everything, he puts up awesome numbers as a second option.

Adam is the best kicker in NFL History...

Giants D is good but have lost some good pieces, the Jags were good and have gotten better.

Adam is the best kicker in nfl HISTORY. Babe Ruth was badass but he isnt hitting any homers now. Adam is 36ish years old and looked a little sloppier last year than he has in the past.

MBIII had less yards and TDs because he wasnt getting the carries. And the yards are fairly close. Addai is a feature back on a team with a great passing game, and only managed 1072 yards the whole season. MBIII will be starting this season and will crush that number...

Jacobs had over 1000 yards with only 11 games... absolute beast. If hes healthy jones drew is not a comparison. jones drew hasnt carried a full load either, he had 60 less carries than fred taylor, and only 768 yards for the season.

Now, TO and PLAX are 2 elite receivers. Marvin Harrison is 36 years old coming off an injury. To think he will be the same is a very long shot. Look at Terry Glenn, or ANY receiver over 35 coming back from a serious injury. He WILL NOT be the same dominant receiver he was.

TO had less yards than Wayne, but 5 more TDs, and a higher avg. TO also had to share with Witten (combined for 2500 yards, 22 TDs). Your top 2 Indy receivers combined 2126 Yards, 21 TDs, Wayne was PRIME target, TO shared.


Your Babe Ruth comparison has one flaw, Adam is still playing.

Addai put up these numbers on a pass first team and still put up better numbers than Barber. This upcoming year Barber may start but that is not even for sure because they drafted Felix Jones, last year Barber didn't start and why mess with success?

Jacobs is very good but he is just too big of an injury risk. In the first game he got hurt and missed multiple weeks and pretty much every week from then on he was on the teams injury report with some sort of injury. Jones Drew may not have carried the load, but this is my second back and we have seen what he can do in that situation. He is a threat to break one anytime he touches the ball, he is also a good returner.

All of our receivers are elite and are some of the best at their position in the game. But they are good for different reasons.

Wayne had more yards and less TD's but the Colts have a lot more weapons than the Cowboys, the Cowboys second receiver is Patrick Crayton. When he is the teams second receiver TO is going to get more looks. Manning is known for spreading the ball around and getting different receivers into the mix.
