Put these 5 players born in 1968-1970 in order 1-5
1 being they played the best IN THEIR PRIME

Ken Griffey
Frank Thomas
Jim Thome
Gary Sheffield
Mike Piazza

1- Ken Griffey
2- Frank Thomas
3- Mike Piazza
4- Gary Sheffield
5- Jim Thome

Ken Griffey- If it wasn't for his injuries say bye bye to bonds' record
Mike Piazza- Arguably one of the greatest hitting catchers
Frank Thomas- Didnt take steroids, good hitter, didn't like the way it ended
Jim Thome- Still has a lot left in the tank, good power numbers
Gary Sheffield- Overrated, injury prone, sterioids

Okey.. good to see we agreed on Griffey.

#2- Frank Thomas vs. Mike Piazza

This was a close one for me too...

Frank (career)- 2434 hits, 492 2Bs, 516 HRs, 1695 RBIs, 4498 TBs, 1650 BBs/1363 K's, .420 OBP, .557 SLG, .302 AVG

Piazza (career)- 2127, 344, 427, 1335, 3768, 759/1113, .377, .545, .308

Frank Thomas
(5 year prime 1993-1997)
184 HRs
835 Hits

Mike Piazza
(5 year prime 1998-2002)
179 HRs
787 Hits

Gary Sheffield vs. Jim Thome

I dont know why it says that Thome has alot left... we are talking about prime here...

Sheff (career)- 2541 hits, 444 2Bs, 482 HRs, 1584 RBIs, 4481 TBs, 1399 BBs/1065 Ks, 245 SBs, .295 BA

Thome (career)- 1952 hits, 375 2Bs, 514 HRs, 1420 RBIs, 3917 TBs, 1484 BBs/2084 Ks, .280 BA

Sheff
(5 year prime 2000-2004)
179 HRs
830 Hits

Thome
(5 year prime 2000-2004)
227 HRs
742 Hits

As you can see, Thome wins in HRs, but his hits are considerably less than Sheff's

that's true i didn't read about the prime part...but you have to ask yourself do you want to put steroids and preformance enhancing drugs into the picture when making your analysis. Then Thome is the far better player

Show me proof that Thome didnt use..

thats the point.. there isnt.

Apparently, those roids didnt improve Sheff's HR totals...

Overall i would still say that Thome is a better player than Sheffield. Plus Thome's "prime" was alot longer than you say. In 2006 thome hit 42 homeruns 109 rbi's and batted 288%. If that's not part of his prime then he is even better than i thought
