I have to go with Pistol Pete

Bill Russel 20.7 ppg., and 20.3 rpg that's unbelevable for a college player, he alos went on to the NBA to dominate the League and stockpile championships like fire wood before winter.

First of all I said College Basketball not the NBA, what he did in the NBA means nothing in this Throwdown .

And second of all the second you brought stats into this argument you dug your own grave.

Pistol Pete averaged 44.2 ppg. in his career at LSU, and set 11 NCAA and 34 Southeastern Conference records.

He was a three time first team All-American and was named The Sporting News' player of the year in 1970, and received the USBWA College Player of the Year and Naismith Award.

He doubled Bill Russell's scoring total and your gonna say Bill Russel is better

Pistol also did all of this without a 3 pt. line, experts predict that his scoring average if there would of been a 3 pt. line would of exceeded 50 ppg., which exceeds some college basketball TEAMS average ppg.

Pistol Pete revolutionized the game and invented a whole new dimension of the game, the crossovers, and other elusive moves that are made with the ball are all products of the skillful ball handling of the Pistol.

I agree with LSU rocks that Pete Maravich is the best without a Final 4, but I will be basing my vote off of arguments. Let's see what That Guy brings to the table.

Um. Bill Russell won two Championships at San Francisco.

Pistol Pete averages 44.2 PPG. Looking back at the tapes and with all things taken into consideration he would have averaged 57 with a 3 point line. THAT is unbelieveable.

dude you call yourself a sports fan ???? Russell was the greatest winner in the history of BB. In 18 months he won an NCAA champions his second of back to back an Olympic Gold Medal and an NBA Championship. This has never been done again. So LSU rocks wins

That Guy, you should forfeit. Bill Russell, not only got to the Final Four, he won 2 championships.
