Pittsburgh Sports Tournament round 1, which two players were better for the penguins, crosby and malkin, or lemieux and jagr?

i would have to say,crosby and malkin.
crosby is one of the best the penguins have ever had.
and malkin has hit alot of game winning shots

also malkin is 6th in assists and is tied for second in points with 18 in the playoffs.these two players are one of the best two players to play on the penguins team and help the tremendously.and both were first round choices.


Crosby just needs more experience, and more good things happen to him, and they would be better in the future, but right now Mario and Jagr have been better for the Penguins.

Lemieux has lead the Penguins to two Stanley Cups, he has 690 goals in the regular season and 76 in the playoffs. 1,033 career assists, with 96 in the playoffs.

Jagr has had 439 goals with the Penguins, and has had a total of 640 assists, for a number of 1079 points with his time with the Penguins.

He also won two Stanley Cups with Mario Lemieux. Jagr was the youngest player ever, at age 19, to score a goal in the Stanley Cup. He was called Mario Jr, after you unscrambled the letters in his name, to form Mario Jr, which was a reference to Mario Lemeuix.

Lemieux and Jagr were better for the Penguins.


nice stats, i know you are going to win this throwdown, but i am going to try to defend what i said.
malkin and crosby have very good potential to be the best players the penguins will ever have.
by the time they both retire, im pretty sure they will capture more than 2 stanely cups.they are al ready on their way to one stanely cup and are really young.they still have alot more years ahead of them ad are sure to break some records on their way.

if you give them time they will be the best the penguins have ever had.

Yes, they do have good potential, but this isn't about the future, it is about " which two players were better" and telling about the future isn't who was better. It is who will be better, and that isn't what this is about.

That is pretty much all you talk about. It isn't about the future, it is about the past, and what they have done for the Penguins in their careers.

Mario Lemeiux and Jaromir Jagr have led the Penguins to two Stanley Cups, more than Crosby and Malkin have done.

Lemieux and Jagr WERE better for the Penquins.

umm, this is actually a good TD. right now its probably Mario and Jagr, but if both Malkin and Crosby stay in Pitt and grow up together they have the potential to be better
