The Bulls should Trade the #1 Pick, plus next year's First Round Pick, to the Knicks for Eddy Curry.

The Chicago Bulls won the luck of the draw, nailing down the #1 pick despite a 1.7 percent chance of getting there. Hence, we must debate what they plan to do with the pick.

I say they trade the pick, plus next year's number 1, to the Knicks for Eddy Curry. Eddy Curry's ticker is working properly now, and a return to the Bulls will re-ignite the big man's career.

That said, there is nothing wrong with trading two Number 1 picks for Curry, as the Knicks have done this before and since they're from NY - they are always trying to win. Duplicating this trade would signify to the Bulls' fans that they will spend what is necessary, as well as committing to a winning product on the court.

Plus, the Knicks need the pick moreso than the Bulls do. Derrick Rose, a future star at the point, belongs on the Knicks. Not the Bulls. We all know this. Even the Bulls know this. They have Kirk Hinrich, who technically fulfills the 'average white boy on the team that we have to keep to save face with white fans who like players who listen to rock' rule. Thats a new rule in place that the Bulls have to consider.

Eddy Curry. Do it up Chicago.

I quote you "Derrick Rose, a future star at the point, belongs on the Knicks". He doesnt belong to anyone and that is the point of the NBA lottery. Many teams have a chance to recieve the first.

And Eddy Curry??
Im pretty sure you would have to be the dumbest GM to give 2 first round picks for him. He played 4 years in chicago and showed no improvement but you assume that would spark his carrer??

And what is up with you saying that Kirk Hinrick fulfills the "average white boy on the team"???
last time i checked he made it this far not because the fans want to see a "white boy", but because he earned it. Hinrick being white is irrelavent to this TD.

And you said NY Knicks had already traded 2 first rounds picks.
How did that workout for them.
To redo that trade(which is what you would do since this had already just Curry was with the Bulls) is just stupid and to think that the Bulls would give up a Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley(assuming those are there 2 prime targets) and to give up next years pick who can be another descent player is ludacis.

And there was four teams who had a worse record then the Knicks.
So in reality they didnt "deserve" that pick.

Derrick Rose, I must reiterate, belongs on the NY Knicks. I mean, why not? He's the best, and the Knicks have the biggest need at the point. I don't see the disagreement there. Plus, his name is Rose, and roses smell good. They are also a nice gift, and the Knicks have many female fans in NY.

The Knicks, playing in NY, are always under pressure to win. Hence they made a trade that immediately attempted to bulk up the frontcourt. It shows they are committed. Should the Bulls do the same thing, it would tell their fans that they have an undying commitment to winning. Trading those picks is obviously a strong move.

Hinrich is talented. We are in agreement. And I guess you didn't get the league memo. You mis-stated the rule...it's in the books: "average white boy on the team that we have to keep to save face with white fans who like players who listen to rock." He's good. Which is why they don't need Rose. Who brought up race?

It's not a re-do of the trade. It's simply showing a commitment to win. We all know NY teams are committed to win, and they are usually always right. Why wouldn't Chicago want to be right too?

The Knicks deserve Rose. Every rose has a thorn.

You say that if the bulls are not right comparing them to the NY teams who i guess are usually right?? (Didnt look like the Kninks have been doing good in a while.

Since your a Knick fan and would love to get the first round pick from chicago i guess you would seem this is the right move.

But look at it this way. The Bulls already had Curry NOTHING HAPPENED!!!!

The bulls have a young team and adding a addition young player like Beasley or Rose is better then getting Curry who hasnt proved very much after players over 5 years.

And just incase you didnt the bulls have been under pressure since the jordan era. Anything less then a playoff run is unexcepted in chicago because many of us(Me being a bull fan) loved to see the bull win championships and to state that the knicks need to have rose because they are under pressure is dumb because every team would like to mkae it to the championship the thus it creates pressure on EVERY team.

And Rose had already stated yesterday that he would love to play in Chicago(HIS NATIVE TOWN). Thus making the bulls wanting to pick Rose because they know he would enjoy the expierence playing for his lifelong fav team.

The Knicks may have been playing poorly, but you sir are engaging in a debate over right and wrong. Centuries have gone by and still - there is no definitive right and wrong.

I believe this is the right move not out of 'fandome', but out of exhaustive analysis I performed on the situation.

Yes - the Bulls already had Curry. Nothing happened? Lots of stuff happened. Need I dip into the events that occurred in the world during his tenure to prove my point? I think not. Also - he got traded. That's something alright. Sheesh. 'Nothing'...

If they have a young team, they need another young guy? Cmon now. Are they going to share Count Chocula on the road too? They need an experienced veteran such as Curry, who has spent alot of time on the floor. Experience is experience. Just ask John McCain.

2 last points: Math. Curry hasd 6,750 points. Rose? None. Sorry. You lost that one. Just call me butter, because I'm on a roll.

Further, Chicago is his native town? His name is Rose. His home is a GARDEN. You know...where Roses grow? He has to play in Madison Square Garden because where else can he exist? Roses don't grow in United Centers. Thats just silly talk.

Since you took my statement out of context when i mentioned that with curry nothing happened i guess i must make it a little bit simpler.
-With the Bulls, Curry never accomplished many things.

And the bulls already have a Gordan and Goodan who can fit that Veteran role.

And no duh Curry has more points then Rose. Rose hasnt played a single game yet. Thats why they are going to draft him(Or Beasley) to see what either man could do.

But the analogy of Rose in a Garden is funny though but seriously... the bulls should keep there first round pick.

Michael Beasley will have a better NBA career than Eddie Curry.

May 22, 2008  12:28 PM ET

Exactly thanks Savage.
If the bulls wanted to trade they can at least get better stuff in return then just Curry

May 22, 2008  12:28 PM ET

Now that is confusing.

How about we spit and shake on it? Rose to the Knicks for David Lee? Takers? Anyone?

May 22, 2008  12:31 PM ET

But adding a aadditional prospect in Beasley and Rose will make the bench im more depth.
Add lets be honest. Curry is not worth 2 first round draft picks

May 22, 2008  12:31 PM ET

Eddy Curry is one of NBA's best young stars.

May 22, 2008  12:34 PM ET

Do I look like I'm joking?

May 22, 2008  12:34 PM ET

Savage...for the love of God...condense all future comments into one post.

May 22, 2008  12:35 PM ET

Than that's a question you'll never know the answer to....

May 22, 2008  12:35 PM ET

I don't know what the big deal is. This is Eddy Curry we're talking about. And this is the draft. It all looks pretty clear cut for me.

May 22, 2008  12:37 PM ET

And Curry has posted up better NBA stats than Beasley...so I don't understand how there's a case against him.

May 22, 2008  12:38 PM ET

Eddy Curry is a proven player. While everyone else is just average @ best. Curry is the next Duncan.

May 22, 2008  12:39 PM ET

Thats because Beasley hasnt played in the NBA.
And to compare Curry to Duncan is crazy.

May 22, 2008  12:41 PM ET

Thats because Beasley hasnt played in the NBA.

Exactly. Point proven. Thank you. Have a good day.

You might have your next TD topic Moon...

May 22, 2008  12:48 PM ET

All too possible. My record will go in the tank, in good fun.

Savage: please, really, stop and think about what you're doing there.

JoseyRamos: excellent throwdown, although most of your positions are wrong. I'm always up for showing the way to the truth.

May 22, 2008  12:51 PM ET

Duncan over Curry? If you were to be testing a car's safety and needed a wall to hit, would you hit Duncan or Curry to cause the most impact? How could you truly test a car's accident prevention? Really now.
