Brock Lesnar vs ???

Since Mark "The Hammer" Coleman has been scratched off UFC 87 due to knee injury. Who do you think the most exciting & REALISTIC(Kimbo fights for EliteXC) opponent for Lesnar would be?
My Choice: Gabriel "Napao" Gonzaga
Both HW's are huge in stature and match up very well. While each fighter is skilled on the ground, the advantage of Jiu Jitsu obviously goes to Gonzaga and the wrestling skills favor Lesnar. Both fighters are well versed in standup & willing to go punch for punch. This is the most exciting matchup UFC has left to offer.
Gabriel is coming off of a 2 fight losing streak, in which he was TKO'ed in both. He needs to prove himself once again to UFC fans that his victory over Mirco Cro Cop was no fluke. Lesnar on the other hand needs to fight, and defeat, a respectable MMA fighter. Though Mark Coleman was a tad bit on the older side, he has a name in MMA. The UFC used that initial matchup as a stepping stone for Lesnar, as they did with his matchup against Mir(that didnt go as planned). What better way to continue to build Lesnars name in the sport then to fight against a former HWcontender?
What matchup do you think would be the most exciting & realistic?

First I want to compliment you on not having this a state first argue second TD, but I think Mirko Cro Cop, this is a true power vs. power, Brock has the brutal punches, and has a good ground game while Cro Cop has a background in kickboxing and has a dangerous left leg, I know your probably gonna bring up Gonzaga beating Cro Cop, but I feel that Cro Cop is the better fighter.

You're stating this as though i'm a newbie to this site lol
Anyways, I thought I made it clear when I stated the word REALISTIC opponent. Here is where you failed to follow me rules....
First off, Mirco has already been released by the UFC and currently under contract for Dream. Therefore a matchup versus Lesnar in the UFC would not be realistic at this moment.
Secondly, he is already scheduled to fight in Dream 4 versus Jerome LeBanner in the month of June. Due to both fighters being heavy strikers, I highly doubt Cro Cop would be able to be healthy enough to fight Lesnar in August.
Lastly, Cro Cop is currently not mentally strong enough IMO. After back to back losses in the UFC, he was contemplating retirement. UFC and Cro Cop agreed to void his UFC contract and let him fight elsewhere so he can build up his confidence and desire to fight.

no I didn't mean anything at all, It seems like every TD the last few days have been like that and I hate em. I was unaware of Cro Cop being released, I am just a casual fan who love Fedor Emalianko(spell), but I will still stick by Cro Cop, because he does have more MMA experience, and I fully expect him to bounce back.

So how do I argue this? A REALISTIC opponent would be someone who is CURRENTLY under contract with the UFC. Cro Cop fights for another organization so that fight WILL NOT happen. You cannot fight in the UFC if you do not have an exclusive contract with them.
If you are just a casual fan and love Fedor, why didnt you choose Fedor? lol
If you were to follow my rules, you had plenty of choices to choose from. Fighters such as Cheick Kongo, Heath Herring, or even Andrei Arlovski. All under contract with the UFC and currently are not scheduled to fight, therefore are realistic possible matchups. Even AFTER I told you that you didnt follow the rules, you still chose to go with Cro Cop. You didnt even attempt to make another pick.
I'm baffled by all this. Now I can see why I never create TDs lol.

calm down man, I don't change my opinions just because I didn't realize that Cro Cop wasn't in the UFC anymore, and the reason I didn't pick Fedor is because he would absolutely embarrass Lesnar, so now I am just argueing that Cro Cop would be a better match against Lesnar than Gonzaga, I guess I'm gonna lose now, but I think I am right that mine would be better.

But "Napao" Gonzaga vs Brock would be an interesting match. Also, it's a match that can actually happen!
While Mirko Cro Cop vs Brock would be nice too, that's not going to happen. Mirko's not coming back from Japan; besides, his US experience sucked, lol.

Report Offensive CommentExactly Hype. Rules state a REALISTIC matchup. Cro Cop and Lesnar will not happen in Aug, especially with Mirco fighting in mid-late June. Especially with him under contract with another organization.
