2008 Mock Draft 1-10, Rule Change

Here is a "what if" throwdown. Let's say that the NFL made it so you needed to be 4 years out of HS to play. Remember, this means all early entries this year don't count as well. Here is what the first 10 picks WOULD not should look like.

1. MIA-Calvin Johnson: The Dolphins need to give Beck a target. Johnson is the best player in this draft.

2. STL-Jake Long: Orlando Pace is getting too old. Long should take his place immediately and give Jackson a great run blocker.

3. ATL-JaMarcus Russell: Joey Harrington is not getting it done.

4. OAK-Adrian Peterson: Peterson and Fargas make the ultimate duo in the AFC West.

5. KC-Chris Long: Long is a great replacement for the departed Jason Allen.

6. NYJ-Leodis McKelvin: Remember, they don't have Darrelle Revis, an EE in 2007.

7. NE-Darrelle Revis: They need to replace Asante Samuel and Randall Gay.

8. BAL-Matt Ryan: They got their dream bust/QB.

9. CIN-Glenn Dorsey: Dorsey is exactly what the pathetic Bengals D needs.

10. NO-Sedrick Ellis: The only one with no change. Ellis is a great NT for a 4-3 defense.

1. Miami- JaMarcus Russell: The Dolphins passed on Ryan b/c they didn't feel he was worth the #1 pick. Russell is far stronger, and more appealing to Parcell's QB style. Big, slow, and a cannon for an arm. eg:Bledsoe, Vinnie T Plus Miami watching them waste a top pick on a WR 2 years in a row would not fly.

2. St. Louis- Calvin Johnson: Holt os getting old, and all the $ the gave Bulger, the greatest show on turf rebirth would leave fans salivating.

3. ATL-Brady Quinn: Arthur Blank NEEDS a new top pick QB. It isn't about logic at this point.

4.OAK- Same

5.KC- Jake Long: Big, and strong. He would bust open holes and keep Croyle safe for years.

6.NYJ- Chris Long: Falls into their laps. It seems like the Jets take a D-Lineman every year doesn't it?

7.NE-Patrick Willis: They need a MLB, and he is the prototypical Piolichick guy.

8.BAL- Same.

9. CIN- Joe Thomas: They need a hard working, blue collar beast on the line. He is a leader on and off the field.

10.NO- Same

The only players eligible are ones who were seniors in 2007 or would have been seniors in 2007 like Russell and Peterson.
