Right now they lead their division and they are playing great. People think that this is just a fluke ad that they will not be in in at the end but they have the talent to make sure that doesn't happen.They have to much depth at the startig pitching position to make sure that they won't have to relyon offense and to back up that pitchig they have exceptionally good defense to help the pitcher relax and not feel like he has to strike out every single batter in order to win. Plus they have great offense as well. They might not have one hitter who hits 50 Hr's nd 200 RBI's, their offense has hitters all threw the line up pretty much. Longoria, Crawford, Upton, Navarro, Aki all of them can hit the ball and give the rays 5 to 6 runs a game and whn u have pitchers who hav barely gien up over 4 runs this season that gives them the team tey need to play at the same pace throughout the season.

they have great YOUNG pitching. they have a great YOUNG lineup. there inexperienced. they wont keep this up all year. the red sox will win the division. obviously the angels win the west, as usual. im gona go with indians in the central, and that leaves the wildcard. no matter how bad teams like my yankees r playing, they cant stay this bad forever. we had a 5 game win streak when arod came back. posada will be back soon. cano, damon, abreau, jeter, and giambi will all be fine. moose, wang, pettie all will have fine years. the young guys will fill the other 2 spots. its just a matter of time. the rays will come 3rd this year. they will be a playoff team very soon, maybe even next year, but there not quite there yet. and i dont no of any team with a 50 homerun 200 rbi guy. if there was, we surely would have thrown too much money at him by now

yeah i guess those are't qute A Rods number because that' who i'm talking about but any way every one says that they are a young team and they don't have any experience but like i said on the other one of these (that got forfeited by mistake) every one is inexperienced before they start a run at greatness. The Rays were inexperienced at the beginning of the year but look at how they have progressed during the season. They play in what is my opinion the toughest division in baseball in the AL East and yet they own the best record in the majors so there is one way of how they have improved. Another way is their pitching. Their pitchers have the best ERA in baseball if i'm not mistakin if i am plese correct me. Finallyjust look at their defense. It may not be the best in the MLB but it is pretty good. Good Enough to give their pitchers some relief in the fact that they don't have to pitch a perfect game in order for them to win.

teams like the yankees and red sox know how to make the playoffs. if the rays hit a bad stretch it could really take a while to get back on track. they have been doing so great, a 5+ game losing streak will bring back old memories. it could take them weeks to get back, and they cant afford that with boston and ny in the same division. your jumping on them too quickly. next year possibly. but not this year they still need a little time
