Think about how great this works.

Lebron is the future. 1 chance to cash in on the Laker vs Celtics rivalry is excellent. That is 100% what this season is about. How the story goes? Lebron almost defeats the big 3 BY HIMSELF and comes up short. That (the by himself part) alone creates more legend than if he won it all this year. The great Kobe and the Lakers will knock off Boston and the big 3 in 7 for this title. The Cavs will add 1 "ROLE" player this offseason. Next years East Final Lebron averages 45ppg and defeats the Celtics (who will have the best reg season record). Then its the EPIC Kobe vs King James finals (likely atleast 2 yrs in a row).

Its a script enacted between Stern and the officials.


The last time I checked the WWE/F whatever they are calling it these days is Sports Entertainment. Not the NBA.

Are you actually suggesting that the NBA & Stern is try to ensure that there is a Lakers vs Celtics final this season and a Lakers vs Cavs Final next... That the fix is in?

Well as they say the cream generally rises to the top.
Both Boston & the Lakers were the best teams in their conferences this past season so it makes sense that as the best teams they should make it to the finals. In 7 game series the best teams should win. Now that is not always the case but it should happen on occasion. And the last I checked the Celtics were only up 3-2 on Detroit. It does take 4 wins to advance a series.

As for next year, who knows?
Teams go up and down each year. Injuries, player personnel changes coaching changes all play a factor in the final outcome of a season. A team like the Lakers might be there again next year, but who knows who they will meet in the playoffs. They could be against a team that peaks at just the right time and knocks them out.

But a fix? A conspiracy?... Come on! Stick with the 2nd shooter on the Grassy Knoll as a conspiracy theory!


Your argument is there is no conspiracy b/c there is no conspiracy. The best team is the Spurs. No question about it. Not even and argument or discussion. What they lack is star power and the NBA is not going to have another failed finals.

NBA= a game decided by what is and is not called a foul and on whom.


Professional basketball and the NBA are not the same thing. Profesional Basketball is a sport and the NBA is sports entertainment.

Basketball skill, Lebron James is probably in the bottom 10 starters in the league. He simply charges the lane and the defender either has to move and let him go or get another foul.

Doesnt it bother you in the slightest that these games are ending time and time again on questionable calls that all seem to go towards the Celtics and Lakers?

Derrick Fisher was on Barry the other night like Michael Irvin on an 8 ball and they didnt call it, complete BS.

The Western Conference this past season was very tight. Only 7 wins separated 1st place from 8th place. The 9th place team Golden State would have been ranked 4th in the east ahead of Cleveland. A losing streak of 6 games by the Spurs and they wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

To be the Man you gotta beat the man. The Spurs were the Champs they were beaten by the Lakers fair and square... They are the Man right Now. So we will see who if anyone can beat them in the Finals .

And I see that you believe in the sasquatch/big foot conspiracy as well.

The IRL had no control over some young idiot wacking her on pit road. I think in my TD i did make an exception for bad luck. Oh wait, you had no idea thats what happened b/c you along witht he rest of the free world didnt watch the Indy500. Maybe if Danica had won someone would watch it, but she didnt so they wont. Its not like the IRL didnt want her to win, just some things you cant control. However; basketball you can control. You control it with the whistle.

There was nothing, and I mean nothing fair about what has transpired in either Conference Finals series. Nothing whatsoever. The officials have been visibly and clearly in favor of the Lakers and Celtics. If you had watched you would agree.

Like I said, there is noone who has actually watched these games who will disagree. Based on the current voting talley Fannation has 4 people who watch basketball and 10 who simply pretend to know about it on the internet.


Well Basketball is a timed gamed 4, 15 min quarters. The game is over when time is up. When the Lakers win a series 4-1 how can you say that there is a fix. How can officials control a series that much. The Spurs were plainly outmanned and out gunned and tired. The Lakers were the better team and the best team in the conference. The same can be said for the Celtics were the best in the NBA this year and won 65 games. The better teams won thus far.

No conspiracy... No fix...

Time to dust off that sign Frank!

Frank has been saying this matchup was coming all season long, so he does have something there, however I heard some folks on ESPN raido discuss this and while calls do go for the home team (see Kobe not going to the free throw line on the road) I don't think its rigged, and here is why.

In any cover up or attempt to cheat there are many folks invloved, its not like its just one guy. We as humans run our mouths to much, no way could this secret be kept, especially this long. Essentially everyone of those guys would have to keep quiet, thats just about impossible to count on.

the simple fact is that people blow the whistle on it all the time and the fannations simply refuse to listen or believe it, its a simple unspoken rule that there is a direction its going and its all dictated on who does and does not have fouls called on or against them

Danny Ainge made one big move to get Ray Allen, which led to another big move to get Garnett. Kupchak made deals to recieve a bunch of expiring contracts which gave them the opportunity to get Gasol because Memphis was looking to rebuild. The Cavs are doing the same thing in trying to build expiring contracts so that hopefully a big deal will fall in their lap. It's good management, not conspiracies. Read a book you dope.
