Best Offensive Rookie of the YEAR
Only stats from the year they count matter

Ok- Since I JUST lost a TD about this guy- I know who I'm going with

Eric Dickerson.


I'm going to go with Adrian Peterson, last year's NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year Award winner.

He played 14 games.

According to wikipedia, he was an All-Pro selection.

Stats don't tell everything. It is how well the players played, not the stats. Stats lie alot of the time. Plus, Adrian Peterson didn't always play the full game, he split carries with Chester Taylor. He would have a lot more yards, more TDs, more YPG and more receptions if he didn't have to split the carries.

Now, they have harder defensives to run against. Back then the defensives weren't as tough, and they didn't have as many plays as they do now. They have a play for every offensive formation, and variable to that play.

It is a lot harder to get those totals that Dickerson got nowadays.

Peterson was the better ROY player.

Oooh. Leaning left for now. I'll wait for arguments. I think Peterson was the one that had bigger games, but Dickerson was the more consistent. You can't argue against 18 TDs, 1800+ Ryds.

But Dickerson had a better rookie campaign. More TD's...and unless AP would've gotten over 200 yards in those 2 games he missed, he wouldn't have passed Dickerson's rush total either.

being honest here, the 2nd argument was a little weak dyhard. I've seen better from you so that caught me by surprise. Also, Peterson was not an All Pro back last year.
