Larry Johnson is one of the best backs in the game today. He is also one of the most fit. You probably think he'll pull a Jamal Anderson this year. I don't. I think he will have an as good as if not better fantasy year than last year.

Haha, I knew someone would complain about my blog. I know what you are saying and yes Larry Johnson is a GREAT back, but he is so risky to get in fantasy this year.
Did you not hear that he could hold out this year because he isnt getting the money he thinks he deserves? Thats why I don't have him on my list for the top 5 RB's because he is so risky to pick up because of the holdout. He is def. a top 5 RB in fantasy if he is going to 100% play.
Lastly, who is Jamal Anderson? I think you meant Jamal Lewis?

Haha, you don't know who Jamal Anderson is look at what BSwartz and Ryan Leaf wrote. That's who I meant. Anyway, Jamal Lewis had a mediocre year the year after he rushed for 2000 plus yards. He will get the contract. Kansas City is not a dumb franchise like some. They respect their players and LJ deserves the money. LJ is also a high adrenaline runner and the poundage will not shorten his career like some players.

No, I knew who Jamal Anderson was, but I thought we were talking about fantasy football and they didnt even have fantasy football back then. He broke down really because of injuries.
I doubt he'll get his money this year. If he does hold out they will just trade him, they already said. If he does play under his contract right now and does good then he will get a better contract. But right now I don't have him a top 5 because of contract issues. If that changes I will put him in the top 5, but for NOW no.

Who would want LJ? Everybody. But KC is so picky with trades they'll end up singing him. He is in that top tier of fantasy backs with LT and SJax. And he can catch the ball. I think his rec yards will go way up this year. In PPR leagues he will be one of the top fantasy backs. He should get 46 rec. Huard likes to throw to his backs.

Who could afford LJ? Not eveyone. The Chiefs obviously don't think he is worth as much as LT is and that is why they arent going to give them a big contract. They make RB's look good because of how good their o-line is. What if they gave Priest Holmes a huge contract? Look at him.
Back to the argument, right now LJ is not a top 5 because its so risky. Why would you risk a top 5 pick on a player who may not even play in 07!

Why does it sometimes let me type a bunch, but then sometimes it says I run out of space after like 1 paragraph? It wouldnt let me type more than what I typed above.

I know who that Jamal Anderson is but I think he meant Lewis.

June 22, 2007  04:24 PM ET

Jamal Anderson also used to be a RB for the falcons. who carried the load and then broke down.

June 22, 2007  04:27 PM ET

yea jamal anderson did the "dirty bird" rb for the falcons. how can u not remember him he was pretty good entertaining to watch

June 22, 2007  04:31 PM ET

Jamal Anderson was RB that had over 400 carries 1 season, then the next season had less than 100.

June 22, 2007  04:31 PM ET

And he was on the team that made the SB

June 22, 2007  04:32 PM ET

Yeah I know but they didnt even have fantasy football then

June 22, 2007  04:38 PM ET

Jamal Anderson is a great running back from the U. His career was cut short due to an acl tear. The same thing that ended it for Terrell Davis.

June 22, 2007  04:54 PM ET

4.3 yards per carry for Johnson.....I thinketh not.

June 22, 2007  04:56 PM ET

He's on the "Most Likely To Breakdown" list this year....Herm Edwards is gonna kill the guy.

June 22, 2007  04:58 PM ET

LJ is a top 5 fantasy back. What are you guys smoking?

June 22, 2007  05:29 PM ET

KC is not going to give LJ the money he wants. LJ wants more money than LT got. Look for him to hold out and not play till week 9 or 10, and when he does finally play it may very well be for another team.....

June 22, 2007  07:08 PM ET

actually vidal they did have fantasy football back then just to let u know

June 22, 2007  07:20 PM ET

did they really? ill look it up

June 22, 2007  10:27 PM ET

I have no chance. You're good VIDAL, and your record shows it.

June 22, 2007  10:27 PM ET

I have been playing fantasy football every single year since 1991. Just because it just got big the past 5 years doesnt mean it didnt exist.
