List in first argue in 2nd and 3rd

1. Chase Utley-21 homers
2. Dan Uggla-18 homers
3. Lance Berkman-17 homers
4. Josh Hamilton-17 homers
5. Adrian Gonzalez- 17 homers
6. Ryan Braun-16
7. Ryan Howard-15
8. Adam Dunn-15
9. Carlos Quentin-15
10. Alfonso Soriano-14

You agree with my list except Quentin, so it will be him vs. Pujols. Here is one big statistic, Quentin 15 homers, pujols 14 homers. Another stat, Pujols has 207 ab, Quentin has 199. So from those two stats we can see Quentin has more homers in less at bats than pujols. So this year Quentin is obviously the better homer hitter. Enough said.


Well, so Quentin does that. Pujols is a better hitter and should wind up getting more homeruns. Even though Quientin did this Pujols will still do better.


In your arguement you say that Pujols is the better hitter, that may be the case but this throwdownis called TOP 10 HOMER RUN HITTERS NOT TOP 10 HITTERS. Right now Quetin is mashing homers at a better rate than Pujols, there is nothimg to suggest this is going to stop. Pujols may get more hits and a higher average but Quentin is going to hit more homers.


Well, lets see Pujols now has 15 HR same as Quienton, so therefore they still are even and Pujols is still a better HR hitter.

Yeah, this is literally lifted from any MLB stat sheet.

Except three players are tied with 14 HR, and Soriano amy or may not be the best of those three. I'll wait to see who Yanks picks.

no, there are about two ways to argue this. You can simply state that the best home run hitters are the players who have the most home runs, or you can find the ten players who have the best hr/ab ratio in baseball.

Quentin hit #16 tonight but that doesn't change the FACT that this isn't a TD, but rather a listing in order of the HR leaders in MLB. What exactly was your opponent supposed to argue?

Anything, he could have argued that Quentin faced worse pitching or had better line-up protection, there is plenty to argue.
