1, The Leafs are number one because the plural of "leaf" was "leaves." But i guess in certain situations Bad Grammar is acceptable.
So there the Toronto maple Leafs . . more like the toronto make me laughs.

2, Last time i looked into the sky there was only one sun,... how the hell can it be plural?

5, The Washington Capitals, wow.. did any thought go into that at all? "hmmm lets put a team in washington" "good idea" "washington is the capital of USA" ok, so lets name them the capitals, even tho its blatenly obvious washington is the capital of USA and its also obvious that there is only one capital, but lets make it plural anyway


I like this TD it's some what humorous.

The one that REALLY gets me is the Angels, i mean **** was wrong with just keeping it Anaheim Angels. I guess someone was high and thought they had a glorious idea

Dummy 2: What bro? Yea....hold on let me take this hit....ok wait what if we called them the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Dummy 1: Thats freakin sweet, we would have the longest team name in sports. Texans wouldnt have a chance of pronouncing this.

Now the Tiger-cats, i was going to go with the (Denver Nuggets) but this seems too childish to pass up. this is how i think this name came about..

Canadien 1: What is a Tiger?
Canadien 2: i think its a cat
Canadien 1: so like ThunderCats?
Canadien 2: Yea i think so but i've never seen one
Canadien 1: YAY Tiger-Cats HOOOOOOOOOO

I think Minnesota Wild takes the cake but i'll hold on that for now.

We Agree On Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. so why type it,
And they called them the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. because if im not mistaken, they have double ownership? ,

Again with the suns, The Word Sun Cant be plural, if it was we would all be dead, , Seriously tho,

But no they decided to invent a whole new word that has no meaning and just throw it in the Team name .

And what the hell is "The Wild"? Its just Wild, which makes no sense what so ever, i might as well make a new team and call it Seattle Wet.

LOL come on now, and how are you going to stand up for the Angels when you yourself has it as one of your worst named teams, you are contradicting yourself. None the less the fact that they have "dual ownership" still makes no difference in how bad and uncreative the team name is.

Also by your logic, the Kansas City Chiefs wouldnt be possible because their is only 1 chief to each tribe. (lol remember this is you logic not mine.)

You know what else, we got the whole plural thing in your 2nd arguement so why repeat yourself instead of bringing up a new point?

By the way if you payed any attention to any of your schooling you would have learned that their are in fact multiple suns in the universe and as far as i can tell with my coworker reading this beside me and my wife which i bed every night, we are all STILL ALIVE!

This proves your lack of knowledge and failure as a TDer

Eh, I can see Yankees though, as it has history to it. Now if it were "New York..ians?" or "Americans" or something like that, it'd be about the same. I could be wrong, but I think Canadiens is just like..."Hey, we're from Canada eh!"

Not a huge Canadian history guys though, so who knows.

LA Lakers were originally Minneapolis Lakers, and when they moved they didn't change the name. And there are lakes in Minny, so the name makes sense if you think about history

alll these names make some geogrphical sense, there are way better choices I think--UTAH JAZZ,TORONTO RAPTORS,LA LAKERS,CLEVELAND BROWNS,COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS -teams like the Lakers-Minneapolis and the New Orleans Jazz make no sense in different cities..

Like Twins is for Twin Cities, Wolves was originally for Timberwolves which will probably be the stste mammal, and I don't know where they got the Vkings, I think because there are so many Scandinavians in Minnesota, and the Vikings were Scandinavian.

LOL! Seattle Wet.... classic. I was also going to say White Sox and Red Sox. I'm surprised left didn't pick them for the misspelling of SOX. But seriously, who names their team after the color of their socks? Cleveland Browns would be more of a bad logo than bad name, being that their logo is their plain ORANGE helmets. One question though if anyone knows, are they named after Paul Brown or is brown some sort of old nickname for a bull dog?
