The starters for the AL All-star game should look like this.

PhillyFan83: Bring it Brewers (73-30-11) vs Nickb23- It's a Girl! (123-38-14)

All positions- must be listed as that position on the ballot which can be found at http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2008/ballot.html 1 DH. 1 SP

C- Joe Mauer
1B- Kevin Youkilis
2B- Ian Kinsler
SS- Michael Young
3B- Joe Crede
OF- Josh Hamilton
OF- Carlos Quientin (not on the ballot, but is deserving as a starter)
OF- Milton Bradley
DH- Hideki Matsui

SP- Cliff Lee

Not the best looking team ever with big name players like Jeter, A-rod, Ortiz, Vlad, Sizemore being left out, but these are the players that deserve to be starting.


You broke your own rule, so I will do things how I need to.....

Only 2 changes

Scott Kazmir over Cliff Lee- Lee has come back to earth of late giving up 4 runs or more in 3 of 4 starts. Kazmir has Lee in every single significant category except wins, which is a weak gauge. I realize Scott missed a few starts but he has faced nothing but great teams and has won 5 of his 6 starts. Every team he has faced is .500 or better. Lee just got shelled for 6 by the Rangers, while Kazmir only gave up 3 hits and K'ed 10 against them. By the all-star break he willl have solidified himself as the best.

Bradley has been a DH and since you broke your rule, I will put him where he plays. We will keep Quentin to stay away from an arguement about the rules. Instead it is....Manny as the 3rd outfielder

Manny vs. Hideki- Manny has had a great season. The only spot Hideki has him is average and OBP, which are big except..... Manny has scored 7 more runs, hit 10 more extra base hits and drove in 16 more runs. He has taken part in 23 more runs for the Sox and it shows in the win column as runs tend to do. Manny has been Manny and when that happens he needs to start in the All-Star game.

Nevermind. I would have Bradley at DH...he's played 42 of 52 games there. But your rules say not. Otherwise, I would have one difference and that won't make a TD. I'll let someone else have it.

You can't state a rule and then change it in the same arguement. That is stupid.

He is not listed at that or any other position. The MLB did not know he would be any good or being playing that position, just like they did not know Bradley would be DH'ing. If you just want to argue the pitchers, that is fine.
