Kevin McHale- Minnesota Timberwolves.
He fired Flip Saunders after seven straight playoff appearances. Just a year after getting to the Western Conference Finals, he was gone. After leaving, he led the Pistons to the playoffs three straight years.
He fired Dwane Casey after less than a year and a half. At the time, Casey had a 20-20 record, and if the playoffs had started that day, they would have made it. "We're better than an eight seed" said McHale, who decided to coach the rest of the season. They missed the playoffs.
He let Chauncey Billups walk.
He gave Joe Smith an illegal contract, losing FIVE 1st round picks.
On separate draft nights, he traded:
Brandon Roy for Randy Foye
Ray Allen for Stephon Marbury
He took Szczerbiak over Rip Hamilton, Shawn Marion, Andre Miller, Andrei Kirilenko, Ron Artest, Corey Maggette, etc.
He took Ndubi Ebi over Josh Howard, Leandro Barbosa, Mo Williams, etc.
Other first round picks
Donyell Marshall
Paul Grant
Rasho Nesterovic
William Avery
When the Garnett situation happened, he passed up
KG for Tyson Chandler, Ben Gordon and #4 pick (LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Gay, etc.)
KG for Monta Ellis, Al Harrington, Andris Biedrins and #8 pick

I have to say Chris Wallace, now with the Memphis Grizzlies and formerly with the Boston Celtics. Here are some of his moves:
In 2001 he might of had one of the worst drafts ever for the Boston Celtics. He drafted Joe Johnson, Kedrick Brown, and Joe Forte. Brown and Forte were out of the NBA by 2003, and he traded Joe Johnson for Rodney Rogers and Tony Delk. After the 2002 season the Celtics, they averaged 36 wins a game until he left, and he nearly completley screwed them up. Right when he left, the Celtics got Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, and they won 66 games and are on they're way to a championship.
Now, he is with Memphis and has completley screwed them up. He traded Pau Gasol. Scenerios:
Pau Gasol and Hakim Warrick for any 2 of the following: Andres Nocioni, Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Joakim Noah, and Thabo Selfolosha and a first round pick.
Pau Gasol for Lamar Odom and a first round pick.
Real Trade:
Pau Gasol and 2010 pick for Kwame Brown, Javaris, Aaron Mckie, 2008 1st rder (28th pick).
He is horrible with contracts, as he gave Darko a 3 year 22 mill contract, many bad contracts with Boston, and recently offered an unproven Marc Gasol a 4 year 22 million dollar deal.

You want to talk contracts? How about trading your All-Star PG (Cassell) AND a 1st round pick. for Marko Jaric. Then he gives Jaric 6 years and 38 million.
He gave Michael Olowokandi 16 million.
He gave Mike James 25 million.
The Gasol trade seems bad now, but will it really turn out to be that bad? The Grizzlies weren't going anywhere, and they probably needed to get rid of Gasol. We can analyze the trade a little closer:
Brown- Will be dumped, as will his salary, creating cap space
Crittenton- Could turn out to be a good PG, he is just a rookie first rounder
McKie- Just to fit salary, he's done and will open up more cap space
1st round pick- Why not? First round picks have the potential to get a good player, even later in the round
And don't forget Marc Gasol, who has the potential to be a solid player.
Looking at that, would Noah, Nocioni, Selfolosha and a pick really be that much better?
The Timberwolves had:
Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Chauncey Billups
Brandon Roy
They could have easily had:
Howard/ Barbosa
Hamilton/ Marion/ Artest
Chandler, Gordon, Gay
Ellis, Harrington, Biedrins, Brandan Wright
Andrew Bynum, Odom, 1st rounder
Instead, look at what McHale did.

They're both hideous.
I love McHale from his playing days. I'm going to vote on that alone rather than arguments.

As with most people who inhabit the land of 10,000 lakes, McHale's brain shows symptoms of frostbite! As a GM, the glory days of gopherdom & Boston Gardens don't really mean that much any more, do they? Compared to Wallcae .... to quote John Wayne's John T. Chance character form "Rio Bravo", "I'd hate to have to live on the difference."
