I'll argue depending on your list

Is this serious? I expected a lot more from u GH. This is ridiculous!

C- Mike Napoli (hard to argue this one. The guys amazing)
1B- Ryan Howard* C'mon GH how can you forget Mr. K?
2B-Rickie Weeks- amazing year so far. 10 whole steals
3B-Adrian Beltre (CANT argue against the Belt!)
SS-Jhonny Peralta
OF- Adam Dunn
OF- Chris Young!(pwned?)*
OF- Cody "rick" Ross

SP-Bronson Arroyo (they dont get any better)
SP- Mark Hendrickson
SP- Nate Robertson
RP-Ross Ohlendorf
CP-Eric Gagne

Wow, you compiled a nice list. Hard to argue that. This is basically an all-star team.
Howard vs. Pena in the battle of the hefty lefty

Chris Young vs. Mike Cameron in the battle for immortality and

Ross Ohlendorf vs. Luis Ayala

Howards line looks as such
.208
15 homers
49 RBIS

Pena (not so much)
.227
11 homers
35 RBIS

Sorry but I will take the tenths less of average for 4 more homers and 14 more RBIs.

Plus
Howard scored 15 more runs than Pena this year.

Young
.235
12 homers
33 RBIs
43 runs

Cameron .215
7 homers
19 RBIs
17 runs
lower OPS than Young

Ayala and Ross

Ross
32 Ks
5.67 ERA
8.64 K/9

Luis
5.66 ERA
23 Ks
5.91 K/9

Howard vs Pena

Defining factors for me

1) Howard has 6 errors while Pena has 1
2) Howard has 19 more SOs
3) Pena has a higher OBP, which is an important stat for the team, one of the explanations why there are winning so.
4) Howard has more power? Yes. true that explains the HRs and RBIs, however he swings and misses alot more, costing his team more, and explaining the almost .200 avg of his.

Young vs Cameron

Lets not forget an important note

Cameron has only 4 HRs less and 13 RBIS less in half of Young's AB (Young 264 / Cameron 137) Give Cameron 130 more ABs and I guarantee he'll pass whatever stats Young posted

So given the large distance of ABs, what stat can we use?

Slugging - and on this Cameron wins - .445 to .439

Ayala vs Ross

What do you want from a Relief Pitcher? For him to hold the result.

Ayala is tied for 3rd in MLB with 15 holds, whether he got more SOs or not is besides the fact, bottom line is he got the job done more times than Ross.

GH, whose fault is it that Cameron got suspended? Thats right, his own and his inability to pass a drug test. When I am looking at an all MLB team I like to look at the big picture and what the players have done so far, not what they COULD have done if they would've passed a drug test. This was based on stats the players have put up up to this point of the season and using those stats Cameron loses in nearly EVERY SINGLE categorie.

.006 diff in slg pct? C'mon GH. Lets not argue into the thousandths.

Plus, OPS is like slugging but only better and

Cameron- .699
Young- .762

Plus Cameron with 130 less ABs only has 18 less Ks. So he whiffs a lot more than Young.

With Howard I am sure willing to sacrifice a couple of average points for 29 more runs produced. Howard has contributed 29 more runs to the Phils than Pena has to the Rays. Call me crazy, but I will forget about about a .020 average difference for 29 more runs.

Pena may have less whiffs but Howard and Pena both have very similar K/AB both have a K under 3 Abs.

With reliever I didnt know you meant set up man lol. But whatever because Ross is still having a better year and would have more holds if more OPs

Howard vs. Pena

The numbers are close on offense, but we are trying to get players on base. Right now Pena is doing the better job of that. Now, here is something that is BAD about Howard. His career Batting average is .280, however right now he is batting .211 which is MUCH lower than usual. Making him play worse this year than any other year right now. Defensively, Pena has a HIGHER Fielding Percentage than Howard with it being .998/.990. Also, this year in the comparison, Howard has 12 errors, compared to Pena's one. So I will take Pena.

Young vs. Cameron

Cameron has a higher AB/HR ratio, and you said you would take that combo, so I will too. Also, Cameron has a higher Fielding Percentage at 1.000, while Young is only .986. There is a slight difference in favor of Cameron. Also, Cameron is also the better base stealer, which is another factor to get a person in scoring position. Cameron has 3 in 33 games, and Young has 4 in 64 games. So I would take Cameron still.

All these small things help, when added up to give a clearer picture and a more complete view of who is actually better behind the flashy stats you shows. My players are better overall.

Howard has 6 errors not 12.

GH no offense but this is getting increibly week. You are arguing THOUSANDTHS. There is a .006 difference in fielding percentage. It seriously isn't nearly as big as you make it.

If Pena is getting on base more than WHY DOES HOWARD HAVE 14 MORE RUNS SCORED!?

Listen GH, You can have .020 more OBP if I can have 29 more runs produced. Its a NO BRAINER. Baseball is won with runs. Howard has produced 29 more of those and even though Pena may be getting on base more he has still scored less than Howard so whats the point of getting on base if you are still scoring (A LOT) less?

I dont care whose players are better overall. I care that my players are OBVIOUSLY having better years.

I can't believe your still arguing Young to Cameron. DUde, even I can admit when I'm wrong and you're dead wrong. Cameron loses in every cat.

Cameron has a higher AB/HR ratio? All I can say to that is woopty damn doo. We are arguing who has had a better season up to this point and taking into account the big picture Young still has more overall everything.

GH seriously, you are arguing thousandths and the difference of 2 stolen bases. U know thats irrelavent.
