I know some people don't like prediction TDs but its Friday, i'm bored!
WOW Garet, way you go out on a limb and choose the EXACT team leaders from last year. You honestly think the outcome will be identical?
My choices:
Offense
Rushing yards per game: Jaguars*
Passing yards per game: Patriots
Total yards per game: Patriots*
TD passes: Patriots
TD runs: Chargers*
Defense
Rush defense: Vikings
Pass defense: Colts*
Total defense: Steelers
Fewest points allowed: Colts*
Turnovers forced: Chargers
Sacks: Cowboys*
Defensive TDs: Vikings

Guru, did I pick the exact same eams for every position. Not quite. I just about did, but total yards per game was not the Colts last year, it was the Patriots.
The Vikings had by far the best rushing offense from last year. There is no reason why this will not continue, and with the improvements in teh WR corp, it will be harder for teams to stack 8+ men in the box to stop the run, even though it did not stop te run last year.
The Colts are a better running team than the Pats, and fron teh second half of last year on, the Pats were not as good on offense as before. The Colts were consistant, and that will allow them to have more yards for teh upcomming year.
In TD runs, te Chargers now have some shiny new WR's who are ideal in goalline situations. This will take awa from teh Chargers rushing TD's, while the Vikings get rushing TD's from not only their RB's, but their Qb as well.
The Bucs aer insaine in Pass defense, why would they not continue to dominate?
we both agree in fewest points allowed, so why the star?
Giants have a plthora of pass rushing DE's, Tuck will now play more, the whole defense is built on sacks.

My bad, you did go out on a limb & choose ONE difference.
The Vikings did have a great rushing attack last year but their numbers drastically decreased as the season went along. In the last 5 games, Vikings rushing numbers dropped about 30 ypg. Dipping well below their season average. Jags? They only got better as the season progressed. Consistency is the key & Jaguars have ALWAYS been lurking on top of the NFL in rushing. The combination of Taylor & MJD has proven too much for NFL defense for years. Vikings had one good year, im not completely sold.
"The Colts are a better running team than the Pats"
We're they? Are you sure? Last I checked, Pats averaged almost 10 more ypg then the Colts.
Even with a SLIGHT drop on offense, which weather played a role, the Pats still produce over 400+ yards more then the Colts.
LT will always be a td machine & will always get the gl touches. He alone will possibly get more tds then the Vikings combined.
NY loses Strahan & Mitchell, 12.5 sacks between them, how are they gonna make up for that?
On pass D I took a look at the Colts schedule. NE, Pitt & GB(depending on Rodgers). Other then that, their opposing QBs are thin.
GaretJax is Richard Rahl said 06/13, 02:20 PM
With the Jags, Taylor isn't getting any younger. On the Vikes, AP is not wearing a brace and is back to 100%, his injury is where the Vikes took a dip in the running game.
MJD has played 2 years, so why your comment putting down teh Vikings with AP for 1 year. Not much difference.
The Colts May not have had as many rushing yards last year as the Pats, but the Pats will not have teh season this year that they had last year offensively.
LT will be a TD machine, but AP has proven himself as a TD threat from anywhere on teh field. Vikes also get some rush TD's from the QB spot as well.
Tuck was teh most dominant rusher for NY in the Superbowl, and now he will be able to start. With Srahan gone, he wil get more opportunities, so I don't see any other team catching up to them.
The Bucs play a soft schedule in terms of pas attacks as well. They don't play NE, so I ahve them in front.

Did I put down the Vikes rush attack? I said the Jags have proven their running ability for the past few years, while the Vikings only had 1 good year so far. Id take a proven team over 1 year wonders any day.
"The Colts May not have had as many rushing yards last year as the Pats, but the Pats will not have teh season this year that they had last year offensively."
Now I know the Pats offensive production may decrease this coming year, but I dont expect a dramatic drop. They've kept their offense intact so i expect them to be just as dominant.
"Vikes will get tds from the QB spot as well"? I read that the 1st time you wrote it, saying it twice doesnt make a difference. Here is how I see it, LT had a very off season last year when it comes to td production. This coming year, LT will play 10 games against teams that were ranked in the bottom 8 in rushing defense. Would his numbers increase? Most definitely.
Last year Tuck was great, recording 10 sacks for the season. To think his numbers would increase enough to compensate for Strahan & Mitchells departure is a bit overzealous.
Bucs dont play NE so thats the reason you have them in front? Wow.

Lets be realistic for a change NY. You honestly dont think they'll lead in sacks after losing both Strahan AND Mitchell.

This was easy, arguements where much better to the right. garetjax it is good to see you actually put up a second and third arguement and not just wait for the forfeits. You came with NO stats, just opinions. Call me old-fashioned but i don't even care for the guys who get paid to tell me their opinions, opinion. I want facts. Nick, the boys were already sack machines so it wasnt hard to choose them. The addition of Pacman will lock up the secondary, giving the front guys ample time to meet at the QB.

The arguments were better to the right and the exact teams that won every category last year aren't going to win this year. It is nearly impossible for that to happen.
