Choose one player from each completed decade of the nba using only their accomplishments from that decade. The player must have played every single year of that decade to count. so no MJ.
PG - Oscar Robertson -60s. He averaged a triple double the first five of those ten years and led the leageu in assists 7 times, finishing top 3 every year He was simply way ahead of his time.
SG -- Paul Arizn - 50s. While not as well known, Paul invented the jumpshot. Who knows where the NBA would be without him. Oh and he has 2 scoring titles in the 50s.
SF - Larry Bird -- 80s. The greatest Small Forward to ever play the game.
PF -- Karl Malone - 90s. 2 MVPs and all-nba first team all ten years. He is a top 3 PF of all time.
C - Kareem Abdiul-Jabbar -- 70s. He has 5 MVPs in 10 years, making all-nba all ten years and all-defense in 9 of them.

G - Walt Frazier - 70's. Frazier is the greatest defensive point guard of all time while being a very good passer and a good scorer.
G -Bob Cousy - 50's. Cousy would have had much better stats if he didn't play in the 50's era. I don't know how Paul Arizin should count. He did NOT play every year of the 50's.
F - Larry Bird - 80's.
F - Karl Malone - 90's.
C - Wilt Chamberlain - 60's. How could you leave this guy out? He averaged 20 PPG and 20 RPG every year of the decade and had six seasons with 30 PPG and two seasons with 40 PPG.

Wilt Chamberlain has been the best scorer ever without question. The only player ever to record 100 points in one game. Averaging at least 20 PPG and 20 RPG for a span of ten years? That is amazing . . .
Abdul-Jabbar isn't even close to Chamberlain in talent. Sure, he won more titles with a better supporting cast, but Chamberlain was a beast - Abdul-Jabbar has never came close to many of Chamberlain's stats.
You need some defense on your team and Frazier is the best defensive point guard ever. Frazier was also a great passer and a very good scorer - he was a SIX-tool player - shooting, passing, speed, defending, leadership and everything else.
Cousy didn't have great stats in the 50's but there is a reason for that - there were hardly anybody with great stats in the 50's. Cousy would have averaged 20 PPG and 10 APG in today's NBA - easily.

ok thats really dick of you. You said you would accept the draw and thne you decline and it and give an argument. Awesome.
Anyways this is why i took KAJ over Wilt. He has one more MVP in that decade, and Wilt missed an all-nba team one year. Kareem never missed one. Furthermore, he was a finals MVP.
Honestly this is a push to me. Its very close. KAJ has more accomplishments but Wilt was more dominant. But the real reason i didnt chose Wilt was because i wanted Oscar. He is MUCH better than Frazier, with 9 all-nba first team selections. Walt has 4. Walkt wasnt even an allstar 3 of those years. And you say Wilt dominated, well so did Oscar, averaging a triple double his first five seasons in the league. That is one of the most rediculous things ever. Finally, Oscar led the league in assists 7 of the 10 years. Walt NEVER led the leageu in assists. Andi know The Big O has no all-defensive teams but thats because they didnt make those teams until late into his career.
While, Wilt and KAJ may be too close to call Oscar is undeniably the better guard.

You are the one who broke your own rules. Why should we just end the TD instead of argue?
Wilt Chamberlain didn't win as many Most Valuable Player awards as KAJ for one simple reason - it isn't easy winning MVP awards when Bill Russell is another dominating player of the era.
Chamberlain is a fantastic rebounder, much better than KAJ and when it comes to scoring - it's just a laugh. Chamberlain is a much better scorer than KAJ, no doubt about it. The only think Abdul-Jabbar has Chamberlain in that is important is NBA Titles but when you are placed on a team that waas as good as the Lakers . . .
Robertson was a better scorer and passer than Frazier was but when it came to defense, that was where it set the two apart.
Even if Robertson played in Frazier's era, I doubt that he could make at least two all-defensive teams. Frazier was perhaps the best defensive player of the era.
Cousy is also a very good player. He played in the 50's where great stats were very rare. If Cousy, Frazier and Robertson all played in the same decade, I wouldn't be surprised if Frazier and Cousy had betetr stats than Robertson.

Arizin missed the 1953 season completley. He shouldn't be able to count in this TD under your rules.
