How anyone takes this fight league seriously is beyond me. Without Bashing Team Kimbo too much, first Gary Shaw and crew run a guy out, with little to no expierence at MMA, and push him to the forefront of the sport. He has name recognition, but that's about it in the MMA world. Then during this weekends event, they decide let's invite a fighter into the ring, that shouldn't be in the ring while KJ Noons is interviewing about his title defense. What happens? A scene right out of the WWE, Nick Diaz starts saying "Don't be scared, homey" and chaos breaks out. Him and his brother, flipping off everyone in KJ's corner and trying to "bait" him into taking a swing.

The Elite XC is the WWE of MMA, and cannot be taking seriously.

I cant believe that you are implying that legitimate MMA company like Elite XC is staged. Why they are not on the same level as far as talent as the UFC the fights are still very real and the fighters are not slapping their chests and falling on phantom punches.

Elite XC is still new to the MMA game while UFC has been doing this for years, It will take time for them to get the talent pool and polish of broadcasts that the UFC has currently but when you look back at the old UFC fights it was virtually the same thing people trying to create a name for themselves.

To make that name they have to parade out their biggest draw Kimbo Slice, its simple the guy sells tickets and that revenue keeps the doors open. He may not be a Couture or Lidell but since this is a relitively new company he is their biggest name.

But to go back and accuse them of flopping or not really fighting by calling them the WWE is disrespecting to the young up and coming MMA fighters trying to make a name for themselves in this sport.

Hmmm what would give me the idea that it is "staged"? The fact that Kimbo ate about 30 elbows and his fight wasn't stopped, but as soon as he tags Thompson late the fight get stopped? hmm

The "old" UFC was nothing like Gary Shaw and that mess of Elite XC. First off they have woman doing MMA which is clearly an attempt to "go the same route the WWE did"

Now as far as I can tell, its all talk and no substance, folks flipping each other off and basically being a SIDESHOW.

Is it all rigged, I doubt it but clearly the Kimbo issues raise the question.

Also most of the guys in Elite XC are not up and coming fighters, their either has beens or never will bes. and Kimbo is a never will be.

First to pick apart your comment about the Kimbo fight. How could that have been staged since the reason it was stopped was bacuse he popped his opponents ear and was bleeding all over the place while Kimbo was pummeling him with his fists. Yes Kimbo ate alot of shots in the 2nd round but props to the ref for doing what he is supposed to do and let him fight since he was able to continue.

Secondly the women fights, that you are saying should not be allowed to fight , have been great!! Gina Corrano is one hell of a fighter in every Elite XC fight she has been in and has been dominating. The last fight on CBS she destroyed the other fighters eye so bad the Dr had to stop the fight. Not only is she a great fighter with a ton of skills she is hot!!! But with that aside why shouldnt women fight?? They have every other right like voting, driving, can run for President why cant they get in the ring?? Especially when they put on a great performance like Corrano does!!!

Even if Elite XC fighters are "has beens or never will bes" it is still very much real fights and not a WWE staged event.

Two things that will never happen in Elite.

1. Kimbo will never lose (I don't care who he fights)
2. Gina will never lose (I don't care who she fights)

These two things will never happen in Elite XC. Just plain won't ever happen, and that's how I know.

Look the fighters may not be "throwing" matches persay but can anyone else tell me why Thompson didn't even try to finish Kimbo?

Are you guarenteeing these 2 things just like Frank guarenteed that Danika would win the Indy 500??????

Look you said that Elite XC is the WWE of MMA meaniong that all of their fights are coreographed and staged then your last arguement you say that the fighters are not throwing their matches.. which is are they or arent they??? Your contradicting yourself!!!!!

You cant guarentee something like these 2 fighters wont ever lose. How many times have we seen a fighter just get caught in the chin and get dropped knocked out in the first round. This happens all the time!!! So to come out and say that Elite XC is the WWE is a rediculous statement.

Yes they do not have the talent the UFC has but remember it took UFC along time to build up their name and talent pool also and when they were starting out were their fights staged or choreographed?? NO just like Elite XC is not Choreographed or staged.

Elite XC is nowhere near the level of UFC or even the WEC. I did get the same impression about the Elite XC and comparisons to the WWE. I won't go to say that it is staged as far as the fight moves etc... like it is in the choreographed WWE. But I think it is an embarrassment to the MMA world. I do get the impressions that the fights have predetermined winners, though.

I CAN GUARANTEE THAT AS LONG AS KIMBO AND GINA ARE IN THE ELITE THEY WILL NEVER EVER LOSE. PERIOD

Put them in the UFC and see what happens. lol

Thompson didn't finish Kimbo because he can't. I'm sorry I saw this fight on YouTube so maybe I'm missing some key frames but I did not see Kimbo in trouble in that fight at all. Period. Kimbo won that fight hands down. Thompson was not mor aggressive did not throw more blows did not show cage control or atttempt to end the fight with a submission. If I'm not mistaken this is the four criteria that Elite scores the 10 point system on. If anyone thought Thompson was ever actually winning that fight then we watched two different fights and I need your copy. True Kimbo has had some walk through opponents in Elite but to say he'll never lose is far fetched, Elite has a fighter named Antonio Silva who could possible beat Fedor. Put Kimbo in the cage with him after one or two more fights. Winner of that fight should be their heavyweight champ.

EliteXC has to get people's attention if they are going to gain ground on UFC. and for anyone thinking its staged, do you watch the UFC reality show? One of the fighters intentionally went out to antagonize another fighter with the intent of getting him thrown off the show if he couldn't control himself and threw a punch...obviously, some of the fighters use that tactic and it isn't staged.
