Choose which team has been the best in each division since the 2001 season
AFC East: Pats
AFC North: Steelers
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Chargers
NFC East: Eagles
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Seahawks

my only difference is the NFC West
nfc west- Denver Broncos
sure right now the Chargers are the hot team in the west but from 2001 lets look at what each team has done
Broncos- 66 regular season wins
Chargers- 63 regular season wins
Broncos- 5 winning seasons
Chargers- 4 winning seasons
Broncos- 1 losing season
Chargers- 2 losing seasons
Broncos- 3 playoff seasons
Chargers- 3 playoff seasons
and the furthest either team made it in the playoffs is the AFC championship

Well, first of all, I believe you meant the AFC West.
Well, as you can see from the numbers, the Chargers and Broncos are almost identical since 2001.
My reasonings for picking the Chargers over the Broncos are:
1) The Chargers have won 3 AFC West titles since 2001, the Broncos have won just one, so that shows who has been more dominant inside the division
2) The Chargers have won more postseason games, 2, to the Broncos single playoff win.
3) The Chargers have had much better players over that span than the Denver Broncos: L.T., Antonio Gates, and Shawne Merriman are the best at their positions. Also L.T. won league MVP in 2006. I don't believe the any Broncos has recieved even an MVP first place vote since 2001.

yes they won 3 afc west titles to the broncos 1 but that is not the entire period. who had more winning seasons during that time? the answer is the broncos
the broncos had more winning seasons and less losing seasons. the broncos had one losing season with a 7 and 9 record and the chargers had two losing seasons with records of 5 and 11 and 4 and 12.
the broncos have been more consistant and have had more good seasons. the chargers packed most of their wins in to a short period of time.
well time for dinner will finish the rest in my last argument

Sure, the Broncos had just 1 more winning season, but the Chargers have won 3 division titles in 7 years, which I think clearly shows more dominance.
And you really think theres a difference between a team finishing a season 7-9 and one that finishes 5-11. Those records show that a team just quite frankly isn't very good.
The only categorys the Broncos edge out the Chargers in are:
3 more regular season wins( I would only count that as 2 since the Chargers have won more postseason games)
1 more winning season
1 less losing season
Look, the numbers are very similar, but the Chargers edge out the Broncos in the more important categories
More divisional titles: 3-1
More playoff wins: 2-1
Better players: L T, Gates, and Merriman are arguably the best at their positions. The Broncos have had 1 player of that caliber in Champ Bailey. Not to mention L T was MVP in 06.
And just look at how the teams look heading into this season.
The Broncos have missed the playoffs 2 straight years, and are coming off a sub .500 season
The Chargers are coming off a division title and a near miss in the AFC Title Game
It looks like the Bolts' division once again in 200

Hold on let me check something here maybe my reading comprehension is not quite what it used to be but I thought this was about the 01 season on. so they didnt make the playoffs the last two season. this is not about just two seasons it is about 7 completed nfl season not just 2. so lets compare
Broncos
01- 8 and 8
02- 9 and 7
03- 10 and 6
04- 10 and 6
05- 13 and 3
06- 9 and 7
07- 7 and 9
Chargers
01- 5 and 11
02- 8 and 8
03- 4 and 12
04- 12 and 4
05- 9 and 7
06- 14 and 2
07- 11 and 5
you said who has been the better team since 01 well 4 out of 7 of those years the Broncos had more wins than the Chargers. they have less losses and you say well the Chargers have one more playoff win but both chargers wins came in the same season and it got them to the same point that the Broncos have got to and that is the AFC championship game and they both lost.
your entire argument is pretty much based on only 3 out of 7 years.
LT- MVP in 06
Merriman- Rookie in 05
the broncos have multiple pro bowl players every season heck Al Wilson went to 5 pro bowls out of the last 7 so what are you talking about
