In 1986, he got his chance with the Oakland A's due to a short bullpen...when his named was announced, the crowd laughed...yet he stood strong and confident.

After a few warm-up pitches which failed to leave the pitcher's mound he was ready.

This was his moment.

His first pitch, a dead on fastball strike. Though the batter was scratching his nose...

He then went on to walk 3 batters and hit 2. He was taken out that 1st inning with boos....though he never did give up any hits.

He is still with the team today, has a 5 yr contract with the A's, though as a hot dog vendor.

Beefian, a 7-year old, played for the Detroit Tigers in the little leagues. His team had a record of 7-2, just one win shy of the playoffs.

Beefian lasted just one inning in the game while walking five batters in a row. The crowd booed him out of the game while throwing sun flower seeds and crayons from a young spectator at Beefian.

Beefian then changed his name, moved to Oklahoma and started a new life on the A Lakeland Tigers as a bat boy.
