trade him and for who??if you decide to keep him..why?

The Lakers are only 2 wins away from an NBA Title, and I think they should just stand pat this offseason. They have draft picks and all of their players coming back next season. Why not stand their ground?

Next season, Andrew Bynum will be coming back to sure up their post presence. They can draft some nice young rookies this year. And this team, that, believe it or not, were just thrown together this season. Having another year to gel and getting Bynum back will really help the team. This team could win a title.

And why would you trade Odom? He's a great player, and he helps Kobe a lot. He's a fine player, so why would they get rid of him? This team could easily break free next year, beat those Celtics, and win the NBA Title. There is absolutely no reason for them to trade Odom.

Forfeited Turn

Hmm, well, um, nice argument. Well, I think the Lakers should stand pat. They had a wonderful season this year, and another season of seasoning and with Andrew Bynum returning, this team will be back will a vengeance. And Lamar Odom is a solid player that can help them win a championship.

If you aren't going to argue, I don't have much more to say.

Draft picks? Last time I checked, Memphis owned the lakers 1st round pick this draft.

Thinking ahead to next year....a healthy Ariza brings energy and perimeter defense (his timing has been off and on...understandable after missing that amount of time)...healthy Bynum brings interior scoring, rebounding & shot blocking...

What else could they really go after?

I think the Lakers are fine just the way they are.

I like the "Odom is a great player statement" then he immediately backtracks and says "he's a fine player" IMO Lamar would be better served as a 6th man non starter energy guy. I don't know I just have no faith in him. If the Lakers win tonight it would be because of a miraculous act of God. Lakers rode a tidal wave at the end of the year and now reality is settling in. They are not deep enough nor do they have the defense to win a title. I think they are putting alot of faith into a young kid that didn't recover as quickly as speculated from a mid season injury.

I wouldn't like if they traded him but if they do they better get a hell of a small forward thats the only thing their missing in their mix for a title.
