GDerek Fisher
G Kobe Bryant
C Pau Gasol
SF Paul Pierce
PF Kevin Garnett

*Ray Allen
*Lamar Odom
*Rondo

PG Rondo

I'd rather have Fisher's experience and shot. They left Rondo open most of the time because they didn't trust his shot. Rondo adds D but Fisher kills Rondo on pure shot. I take the shooter.

So the team that dominates a series, you have 4 players from and 2 starters and the team that losses you have 4 players from and 3 starters. WOW! The Celtics get NO RESPECT from the peach.

You want Fishers experience and shot, to bad I doubt the lakers would make the same choice. Rondo was all over the court making steals, finding open shooters, diving for loose balls. He has the Heart, the defense and the passing over Fisher. In the close out game he had 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals and 8 assists not to mention only 1 turnover. Fisher had 7 points, 4 assists and 5 fouls, cause he couldn't keep up with Rondo. It doesn't look like lack of experience hurt Rondo one bit.

Did you watch the series? How could anyone have watched that series and not pick Posey to be on their team off the bench. The guy can do anything his team needs. You need him to score one night, check. You need rebounds, check. Defense, check. Diving for loose balls, keeping a rebound alive, check. Big 3 with 2 minutes left, check. James Posey is the ultimate glue guy and Lamar Odom is the ultimate choker. You have to have guys like James Posey to win rings.

Yeah, i watched the series. I would still pick Fisher working with that team. Your telling me Rondo is better then Fisher already? highly doubt it. Rondo has excellent D and so did Boston and that's why he was flying around. Put Fisher on a team like that and more 3's would be raining from the skys. Posey is a good defender but Lamar Odom starts for a reason. I will not discredit Posey's clutchness but Lamar is a better player. Who do you think you would get more for... Odom or Posey? thank you very much.

The same Derek Fisher that was 3 for 16 from three in the Finals.

Highly doubt it, huh? I don't only not doubt it, I know it. Coming into that series every Laker fan on this site, told me Fisher is the difference. So where the hell was he when Rondo light a fire under their a55 in game 6.

Rondo showed that experience means nothing and results mean everything. He can do all the things needed to lead a team of great players and he did them in Game 6.

Fisher is too old and the one thing you said he would do, he did horribly for the Lakers in the FINALS.

It doesn't matter who you would get more for.

It matters who will help you win a ring when the game is on the line and that is when Odom disappeared.

This is a bench player for the team we are making. Posey has been a KEY piece on 2 of the last 3 champions. Coincidence, I think not. He is an essential part of a team and Odom, well he isn't.

Don't be surprised to here the same thing out of Kobe's mouth some time in the off-season

That's bull, you are telling him he can't fix his problem?

June 21, 2008  07:09 PM ET

No, but i already made my 2nd argument and it was submitted before i looked at the comments. You get once chance at td's you know?

June 21, 2008  07:12 PM ET

DUDE we can just argue Rondo for all I care. Why would you want Fishers old butt on the court. People can disregard the second paragraph for all I care. Maybe if you put more than 50 freakin characters into an arguement. You can look at all my TD's, I don't make mistakes like this ever and I don't make mininal arguements.

June 21, 2008  07:13 PM ET

Someone named Lakerfan voted against me, BIG shocker, guess he didn't rememeber the actual series either.

June 21, 2008  07:17 PM ET

Peach of GA | 06/21/08, 07:09 PM

You should have gave him the chance to fix it like he did then.

June 21, 2008  07:50 PM ET

Rondo and Fisher are even in PPG, but Rondo beats him in every other catagory except steals and thats close. Experience is overrated.

June 21, 2008  08:05 PM ET

Coming into the series, I was one of those people yelling in Nick's ear about Fisher being the difference. I was wrong; Rondo outplayed, outhustled, and outscrapped Fisher on both ends of the floor. Vote right for the superior arguments and better picks.

YankeeNation: that's a team I could root for, what would we call it the L.A. Celtics or Boston Lakers!!!!

June 21, 2008  09:07 PM ET

Not much to say here. Nick made the stronger argument from his only permitted pick. I really didn't intend for that to rhyme either.

June 21, 2008  09:12 PM ET

i would put allen over kobe as far as finals go... kobe only played one good game during the finals

June 21, 2008  09:17 PM ET

If this is using the stats from the finals then my lineup would look like this:
PG: Rondo
SG: Kobe
SF: Pierce
PF: Garnett
C: Leon Powe; cannot have Gasoft in there

Bench:
Ray Allen
PJ Brown; had a much better series than Odom
Sasha Vujacic
