Pitching ace Mark Buehrle ($9,000,000), injured outfielder Jermaine Dye ($7,000,000) are about to be traded. Chisox has the 4th highest payroll in the majors at over $109,000,000 and judging by this recent news, they are bailing out on 2 money stars to save cash and to have an excuse for this dismal season they are having now. And, of course, Ozzie Guillen is next.

I won't argue that mismanagement is leading to a break up of the club. But Ozzie is NOT next. Obviously you don't understand the relationship between Guillen and GM Kenny Williams. They work very closely together and will try to rebuild soon. They won a ring together and won't be parting any time soon. Down the road, if Guillen does leave he won't be 'next' because he won't be fired this season or next.

Relationships? Kobe and Buss have the same type and look at them now. It's all about the Dollar. Back to the meat of the subject, it goes to say that no matter how good a player is, he's expendable. An ace pitcher who had one on the league's 1st no hitters in Buehrle and Dye, heck he's injured and trade talks are in progress. If the GM is all that, he never wud have gotten the club to this point. Typical!, ChisoX losing season is obvious and this "all world" GM is covering his tracks.

They have earned the right to try to rebuild after winning it all.
Kenny and Ozzie are incredibly loyal to eachother and to the organization. Remember what happened when Frank bad-mouthed Jerry Reinsdorf? Kenny fired back and Ozzie stood behind him. For now, neither of them will be fired.
Eventually if Ozzie is let go he won't be "next" because MAJOR TEAM OVERHAULS WILL HAPPEN BEFORE THAT.
I just wanted to emphasize that point becuase it was in the title.

I remember the verbage that the Big Hurt had with Reinsdoff and Ozzie had his back, yet Frank went to Oakland and now in Toronto (expendable). I'm a transplant here in Dallas, from Miami, Marlin owner Wayne Huizenga is notorios for getting rid of Star quality players (Beckett), JUST TO NAME ONE. It all boils down to "money mis-management". If you can't afford em, don't but em. In the ChisoX case, at the 1st sight of a losing season, they opt to bail on 2 Star players. Managers usually follow.

No, in the White Sox's case Ozzie is part of the franchise, at least for now. They have been only looking at trading players, but getting rid of Ozzie hasn't been discussed as an option. Him, Kenny, and Jerry are a unit and will try to rebuild.

I'm going with Orange. Even if he gets fired he won't be next, a lot of other stuff will happen first.

Getting rid of Star quality playersand popular managers is usually done by lesser $$ payroll teams, e.g., Marlins, Rangers, etc. The latest on the Chisox suprised me. It just goes to say, no matter where a team is on the payroll list and no matter who the player is, the club will experience changes both managerially, and with it's players. The latest talks prove this with ChisoX.
