State your opinion - argue later...

Meant what he said

I believe he is an misunderstood, lost, innocent, special child in the big big world of words and adults.

Forfeited Turn

The question is...did you mean what YOU said?!?...Oh wait, you didn't say anything.

Sorry...been out for a day...

-I can understand trying to listen to context - why was there hesitation in Wolf's voice when Imus said, "What color is he?" Wolf is sitting right there with Imus...had Imus been trying to be sarcastic, I would think Wolf would have responded with a liittle more sarcasm than hesitation.

- Imus showed his true self last year when he made his statement about the Rutgers Basketball team...his beliefs are old and worn out...kinda like he is. Why he is given more opportunity to pollute the air waves shows how shallow some people still are.

Misinterpretation = To interpret, explain, or understand incorrectly or to interpret inaccurately.

You my friend, have just fallen into the slippery slopes of false impression. Your brain waves have not dissected the information you recieved correctly. This is a clear case of a misunderstanding and misapprehension on your part.

Your understanding of this subject was not correct due to your lack of peripheral skills and a clear deficiency in your mental proccesing skills as well.

The power of the abstract thought, therefore, allows for an individual to have a personal interpretation, which differs from person to person.

Taking all this into account, your interpretation can neither be right nor wrong, due to everyone's vantage point being different and unique.

However, your interpetation of another person's statement is more likely to be wrong due to the fact that you are not that person. Much like someone else may have difficulty interpreting your statements as well.

Bottom line is this: That Imus is a childish, immature, infantile, senile, disoriented, old, bozo, stooge man is obvious, but the nature of his statements? That is unknown.

"I believe he is an misunderstood, lost, innocent, special child in the big big world of words and adults."

So you're right with him :)

Why make excuses for people....

He's an idiot who is crazy. Thats it. No futher diagnosis needed....

June 24, 2008  10:51 AM ET

Anyone who think Imus was misunderstood should find a hole and crawl in it because our world would be much better without you!!!. The guy is 100% a moron!! ABC is just as big of a bunch of morons for even allowing him on the air!

June 24, 2008  10:59 AM ET

I didn't see it as racist. He said black guys get arrested for no reason. And sometimes that's true. I don't see how that's racist, and I really don't see how Pacman got offended.

June 24, 2008  11:07 AM ET

He meant what he said?

He said:

"What color is he?...Ok, there you go."

What exactly does that "mean"?

IMUS + RADIO = DOOSH BAG

LOL! at Frank's comment.

June 24, 2008  11:40 AM ET

i just think that his career is as a shock jock, if the shocking truth is what it is, then its what it is

what did he mean? the comment barely makes sense and you could view it from opposite sides of the equator, with an element of truth to both

June 24, 2008  11:52 AM ET

Going to say misunderstood. Vote right.

June 24, 2008  11:55 AM ET

I don't think freedom of speech is what they are arguing. However, I do think that Imus is misunderstood and is far less offensive than Howard Stern or Rush Limpballs.

June 24, 2008  11:57 AM ET

and pacmans offended? i gotta tell ya as a caucasion tax paying citizen, who drinks 3 beers on the boat and has to fear a roadblock on the way home, im offended that pacmans not in the federal pen doing 25-30 for attempted murder

June 24, 2008  12:15 PM ET

I'm confused as to what Imus could've meant or been implying... I think anyone who finds any substance in this is another naive tool that the media continues to exploit. Enjoy having your lives and opinions revolve around what the media tells you to talk and think about...

Im offended that when you go fishing, you only drink 3 beer's Frank....Whats up with that?

June 24, 2008  12:34 PM ET

In this case, I believe Imus' explanation is at the very least, plausible. If the whole conversation is taken in toto, he probably was trying to make his point, but if you just hear the little soundbite that the media is playing (or transcribing) then yes, it does come across as offensive.
Based on his actions since theRutgers incident, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on this one.

wakeboarding not fishing, and 3 beers is just what I will tell the cop, we typically take 2 cases for 6 and spend 8 hours, then have trouble backing the trailer in

June 24, 2008  12:53 PM ET

The sad part in the entire situation was......what did he say that was incorrect? He spoke the truth, and got killed for it.

June 24, 2008  01:12 PM ET

Once is a mistake, twice is a deeper personal problem.

June 26, 2008  10:06 AM ET

I am surprised that you took all that effort to form a simple opinion of me...thanks for taking the time to do so. Understanding this subject was pretty simple...so, I must agree with SLAPSHOT27...go ahead Ghosthunter and scroll back up there to see what his statement was...are ya back? Go crawl back in the hole you came out of
